Ma beer is getting warm!!! My fridge will only run off of 12v not 110. Off12v it's works perfect. Ice cold. But if I try to run it off the 110 side I get the green light on the bottom showing its getting power but the compressor won't kick on. I know it's getting enough juice because the ac ice maker batt charger and water heater are on. Even if I turn everything off and turn the fridge on it still doesn't work?? For the weekend I unplugged the 110 and running it off the 12v side with the battery charger on. I think that's ok to do. Oh yea even with the genny running it does not work off 110. Any ideas?

I happen to look behind my 8.1L engine, and I see a Zerk fitting on the tube that connects the engine to the outdrive. I don't know the name of the part, but I suppose it houses the universal joint, and drive-shaft from the engine to the outdrive. There is one grease fitting at the very top of this piece. How much grease should I use, and what type grease should be used? Thanks for any advice.

The spot light on my 340 Sundancer illuminates, the bulbs are fine. There is a switch at the helm station on the dashboard that controls the spot light to rotate (port to starboard, starboard back to port), tilt up or tilt down and turn on or off.

The light itself works, but with one exception. The spot light will only rotate from port to starboard, but will not go from starboard back to port. I have to turn it by hand to go starboard back to port

Any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks

I have been having water pressure problems since my 1st splash. I've only had the boat on plane one time and I had to disconnect the sea water pressure sensor on the p/s cooler to do it (preventing guardian from kicking in).

My sea water pressure was reading 3.5 psi at 3000RPM when this mess started. Based on my mechanic's advice, I installed a new pump. I got the exact same pressure readings with the new pump.

Earlier this week, I bought and installed a replacement sea water pressure sender. When I first ran it on the muffs, I saw 35 psi. That seemed awful high to me. I shut the engine down and turned off the water to the muffs. Just for giggles, I turned the key on, and checked the H2O pressure on the dash. It was showing 29.5 psi with the engine NOT running. I returned that sender, and obtained a replacement. Last night, I installed the 2nd new sender and turned the key on. Now, I have 30 psi with the key on and engine off.

Surely, I have either a broken wire or a short circuit somewhere. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the sea water pressure sender on a 2005 496 Mag HO? I'm desperate to get out on the water! My next step is going to be to clipping wire ties and looking under wire sheathing and I'd like to have a little direction before I start.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the OLD sender shows 0 psi when I plug it in. Both NEW senders read approx 30 psi. That would seem to indicate that I have some voltage leaking into the sense line. If the old sender shorted (no resistance), there would be no voltage drop across it, and the reading would be 0. The good sender has the normal amount of resistance, so there would be a voltage drop that would give it a false reading.
Heeeeeelp!!

The door is still in excellent shape otherwise, so replacement is not an option. :)

Anyone has any other solution please?

I was thinking longer screws for this weekend trip. But that should only be a temporary solution.

Thank you.

If this posted 2 times I apologize. I have a 2008 340 Sundancer which I bought new in 2008. Last fall of 2012 I started getting a bad septic odor in the bathroom. This ONLY happens after running the boat and only smells in the bathroom. When I get to a destination the bathroom smells bad. I have changed my filter. Had several heavy flush outs by filling tank up with water and pumping it out. I even bleached my anchor locker thinking maybe it was from the smell of mud. My bilge is clean. Had my mechanic look it over extensively and he is stumped. Just had a company that is certified by Marinco to work on vacuflush systems check it out. They replaced some valve and my hose that runs from the toilet to the holding tank. They said this was the problem ( and was not cheap ). AND I STILL HAVE THE SAME BAD SEPTIC ODOR!!!!!! Does anyone have any ideas whatmay be causing this? Again it is only after I run the boat. No odor when I flush and no odor after boat has set for a week or so. Only after running it.

I had an issue last year, but was able to glue it. Here is the part number (86363ItI), does anybody have any ideas where I can purchase this? I have a friend who's a mechanic that can fix this issue, as I looked in my owners manual, but I could not find it. Thanks Tom:huh:

Gentlemen,

I do apologize for a redundant post. I took delivery of a 2007 230 Select last Friday, it has the 350Mag with an Alpha One outdrive. The boat looks great and only has 61 hours. My problem is the water impeller in the outdrive has never been changed and it has been two seasons since the oil has been changed. Granted it has only 7 hours on the oil, I need to change it.
Called all the local marine shops today and was told 2 to 3 weeks wait and they may work me in at that time. Hey, it is that time of year. I am very mechanically inclined and I guess I need to do this work. I would appreciate it if anyone can post me pertinent info to the water pump replacement. I am sure this has come up before and tonight I will do some internet searches. I think I can handle the oil change without any issues. I hope this boat has the the line connected to my drain plug. If not I guess I will be buying a pump to pump it out.

Thanks,
Rob
