I just won a West Marine SB275 inflatable on eBay. It's brand new, manufacture date was 9/2008. It was abandon at a shipping company, no one picked it up, so they put it on ebay and I gladly picked it up for $275 (new at WM $999), not bad.
Anyways, the sides are dirty from them opening the box to take pictures and sitting in a warehouse. What do you use to clean and protect? I know there are a ton of products out there but what really works? Thanks.

Use the inflatable cleaner available at West Marine. Do not use anything else!!! It may make a difference if it is made out of Hypalon or not (I suspect not). The glue is critical and sensitive to harsh chemicals not intended for it.

I've used Soft Scrub on my 2 year old Zodiac for 2 years with no adverse affects.

Which cleaner at WM? They have a few, at least the WM by me. Thanks.

I believe it's called "Inflatable Boat Cleaner" or something like that. I don't have any brand preferences. The key is that the chemical you use does not attack the glue, and if you have hypalon (sp?), that it doesn't attack the material as well.

In addition to using an inflatable specific cleaner you should give it a good rub down with 303. I have also been told by the Zodiac CS people to never use Armourall, as it will damage the material.

Don't even allow a bottle of Goof-off in the same county as your Dink [for 3 beers I'll tell you why]

Check Aurora products. I have seen the inflatable cleaner used with great results. I can vouch for their fiberglass cleaning products.
No affiliation.

I have a Hypalon 2006 Mercury 270 airdeck that wasn't looking too new anymore. I was on the Aurora website and watched the video on their "Speed Clean" dingy cleaner. I never believe these ads, but I hated looking at my dirty dingy and decided to give it a shot. Well me and my scrub brush went to work and I have to say that my hypalon dingy looked brand new when I was done. It also did a great job on the PVC floor that I never realized was so dirty.
My friend ordered it from a place on Long Island and it was 1/2 the price as buying it direct from Aurora.
Good luck !
