Hi,

I have a 1995 Sea Ray Sundancer 270 DA and I need to replace the screens in three of the four portal windows.

Can you please give me some guidance as to how to remove the frames that hold these screens so as not to damage them?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Larry

I replaced the screens in my 96 - very simple process and does not require removing any windows. Open the window - gently pry out the rubber seal and clean up any remaining adhesive residue. The old screen is attached to the rubber seal so you'll need to remove it and be careful since you will reuse the seal. Buy screen - I used black screen from Ace which was under $10 for a roll. Cut new screen out to match the seal and glue to the seal - I used silicone. I then put a thin bead on the window where the seal would go and press the seal and screen in place. Clean up any remaining silicone and close the window and leave closed for a couple of days.

It's been a year and no problems with any of mine. Good luck.

I did about the same as Travis, above. I put wax paper between the seal and the window and then closed it to keep the silicone off of the window.
