Elizabeth City, NC & The Dismal Swamp

I will be heading south thru the area in mid Oct and was wondering if anyone had any current information on available marinas in the Elizabeth City area. I had heard rumors that transient slips were no longer available.

I made the trip from Elizabeth City thru the swamp to Norfolk in the spring with no problems, and it was a long but great day.

What did you ever find out about the Dismal Swamp. I'm interested in hearing more about it. I thought I had a link for you from another board, but seem to have lost it. It looked like a neat trip for the future. Just not sure how long it is going to remain open.
