i bought 12 gallons of gas and moved the generator close to the garage door. We are supposed to get 12" of snow tomorrow after a possible ice storm.

I am down here in Marblehead, OH, thank god were out of the woods with that kind of snow!!! I hope things turn out very well were you are!!
Sunny and cold today. We got 6" of heavey wet snow instead of the 12". It's supposed to begin snowing in earnest tomorrow.

We had probably 2 inches of rain yesterday followed by 60 mph winds last night. It has been a wild late summer and fall around here, more rain than I can ever remember. However prior to Friday we had a week of 60 degree temps. I hope next summer is good. :smt001
We enjoy this weather. The snow causes the ground to freeze which means our lake effect snow will pile up and not melt--great for skiing conditionns. I'm going to sit down at my desk today and make a list of the winter work for the 3200. I'l tackle the list in January and February.

On Wednesday it was 70 degrees here. Friday morning we had 1/4" of ice on everything and 6 inches of snow on top of that and then single digit temps at night. We lost power power for over 15 hours. We have a natural gas generator w/ auto transfer switch tied into the house service that saved the day. I even plugged in the christmas lights! The boat is sitting in the back yard with icicles dripping off of it. The supports and covers seem to be holding up though! It's gonna be a long winter....

Get this,
My daughter lives in Mo. about 150 west of St. Louis. Last thursday they got about 18" of snow. As of yesterday 12/4/06 the street she lives on still has not be plowed. I hate snow, but i sure am glad Wisconsin can take care of it.

Just curious about your picture. Are you planning on in the water storage or is that a Fall pic?

That is a fall pic, the day of haul-out.
Well here it is, December 16. The sun is out and we've had two fishing boats go by our house today. Our 12" of snow has melted.

Went ice fishing two weeks ago on a inland lake north of Green Bay. Had 5" of good ice. Sure would not go out this weekend.
Maybe this means it's spring. NOT!!!! :smt017
Near record highs here in Virginia. 65 yesterday, 68 today, and we may hit 68 again tomorrow. It can stay this way...my heating bills will be less painful and I won't have to install a bubbler under the big girl.
24 March-Shrink Wrap Removal Day.

Same for you and your family when you are in Holland!!
I flew across the country yesterday from San Francisco to Detroit. There was LOTS of snow from the the high Sierras to central Iowa. We got to Detroit and it was 48 degrees and sunny. Same thing in Grand Rapids, Michigan today...48 degrees and sunshine. President Ford will be buried here in approximately 30 minutes. The city has really turned out to see this event. Perfect weather.
