Just got my first Sea Ray today.
it's a 1982 270 Sundancer. I decided to check in becasue I am sure I will need some input during it's refurbishment.

Where in Alabama? I am originally from Birmingham and my wife is from Muscle Shoals.

We're about half way between Sylacauga and Alexander City. Right off US 280. Lake Martin is my Local Hang-out. We got this boat down at Kowaliga today.

I have many fond memories as a kid growing up in Opelika and going to Kowaliga with my Dad on the weekends. We had 2 : Scott Atwater 7.5 horse outboards and would rent a 14 ft boat at Kowaliga and put both motors on it. That was "cool" in the 50s.

My uncle built a 24 ft cabin cruiser in his basement in Birmingham with a 283 Chevy inboard. I remember that was one of the hottest boats on Lake Martin at the time.
