I went a similar path. I used a new clarion head unit with updated helm remote and wireless remote. I used the zone feature to
Connect the cabin speakers. Bluetooth and usb steaming are excellent. Did away with xm and cd changer. Also have the option of nmea integration into the mfd but I kinda like a separate remote for the stereo. JL audio equipment is excellent sounds very nice. I have always had good luck with clarion head units. Everything fit in the same holes and the harness was plug and play. From scratch I would pick Fusion though. It was fairly time consuming to run wires but not difficult. Glad it is done. Sounds much better than stock. One thing I did find out is you don't need the spacer rings in the arch for the mx's. They are slightly more shallow than the m's. I have a set of spacers if anyone needs them.
Is that the only place we can fit a subwoofer? Can we only fit one? Better to use a 12" if we can only fit one?
Not sure if the extra money on a fusion head will be worth it for me. I know they are the rage right now, but I usually don't do to much with the head other than on/off. I think I'd rather put the extra money in the sound
