Official 330 Sundancer Thread

Looks like your deck may have rotten coring from water getting in the area around the windlass. Its a common issue on these years 330’s and not good if large areas are soft. It means the balsa coring in those areas has rotted allowing the deck to flex. Does the deck flex at all in those areas? If so, you have that problem.

I walked around up there and put some pressure downward and cant feel any sogginess.

Having trouble finding the rubber stopper or plugs that go in the wet bar sink and ice chest. Seems to be a 3/4" hole. A 3/4 inch plugs will go in too far and a 7/8" drain stopper will not fit. Can't remember if the original was a plug or a stopper but I'm thinking it was a black plug.

I bet you could find an 'expandable plug' that would work....

I'd just shave a wine cork........

Pull up the 2 square covers to the right and left
hey so I have this same issue. I checked those fuses and both ok. I priced out another switch assembly and they are about $220 , but I saw the jabsco model 60080-0012 for $450. it looks like it has the same switch assembly , so can I assume I can just replace the light and switch without running a wire?

Anybody try improvements on the ice/drink chest insulation? Mine muscles through a full bin of ice and drinks in a day. I was thinking of spraying with some kind of non hazardous foam.

any feedback welcomed... deciding what to do

Looking at a 1998 with mpi's. Fresh water, looks in good shape. But no generator. What's a generator worth on these boats?

Was wondering if I could get some opinions on coming up with an asking price for my 95 330DA. These seem to be all over the place in terms of pricing. I have tried to be as detailed as possible in this doc. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TIU9eanUylpfa9KgtCj9HL3V3ilbNxWVu8uZrN04hoU/edit
As someone who has been looking at these for a while, if you have the older teal, flower interior, you should be looking at under $40k. Over that, they seem to sit. Otherwise, low to mid $40s seem to make these suckers move fast. It really depends how long you want to take to sell.

My interior is not the green teal. It's the neutral color down there.

Probably too much to add to an older boat. I would guess you would be in for about $8,500 by the time you were installed, rewired, etc. It would be better to find one with a genset already.

Just an idea. I carry on a Honda 2000i on my 95 330DA and leave it on the bow near the windless to avoid fumes They make a 2200 now too. It runs the AC and microwave if you turn one off the use the other. Have done many sleepovers with the AC on. You will need to get up and refill the gas at least once in the night if you are using the AC. On Eco mode that thing runs for about 6 hours if you are just trying to keep batts charges and light electronics. I use the generator for other purposes as well so it's a pretty good investment either way for $1000. It ran my house for 3 days when the power was out just to keep necessities going. Amazing what you can do with 2000 watts. Whatever you do please do not leave them in an area where it can leak fumes in the cabin and watch wind directions. Many stories of deaths. I do agree if you can find one with a genny already I have wished I had shopped more

Now you have gone and done it. Started the portable generator issue again. Put up your sensitivity shields and prepare for the onslaught.

Not doing the portable generator thing. It's a nice to have. Not a must have. Just trying to figure what the value of the generator is regarding price and demand.

Ha, ya, I know. I encourage anyone to do their research on the potential safety issues. Let's all agree to leave this idea alone since the OP isn't going to do it anyway.

Maybe go here and price the kind of boat you are looking at with and without the unit to see what the price delta is. There are filters for generators under misc optional equipment. I am going to do it with mine since I am selling one currently without one.
