Wanted to bring the dink home to winterize and for storage. Didn't have a trailer for it, but did have a utility trailer that wasn't being used much.
Used
2 - 2x10x96 PT
1 - 2x4x96 PT
1 small box of screws
1 small box of nails with plastic washers
4 18x24 carpet remnants
Home Depot lady forgot to ring up the boards so total invested was $12. Yes, twelve dollars.
Cut the 2x10s down to 60 and 36 inches and 2x4s down to 16 with mitered end. Put a slight angle to the bunks and walla.
Cut a few slits to bottom boards so it would key into the gate which is folded into the trailer. The trailer is a 5'x8' with an overall length from gate to tongue being 11'. With the dink being 5'3"x11'2", I needed it to hang off the back, so I just folded the gate in.
Pretty happy with it. Also gives me a way to store the dink off the trailer if I need to haul some brush or something. And I can always put casters on it if I ever get a garage.
Overall pretty happy with it and just wanted to share.
