L650 FLY Sea Gull

Spectacular! They’ll never be another SeaRay quite like her. Good luck with the sale.
(Oh..and can you adopt me please?)

We will be staying in the boat during the show and attending most days. Not sure what’s next at this juncture. We are looking at everything on the market from 65’-75’, expresses and motor yachts, new, used, etc., but it’s hard to find another boat that checks as many boxes as the L650.

What a spectacular boat and please keep us up to date on what your next boat turns out to be. Exciting times.

How sad is it that Sea Ray isn't making this class of yacht anymore.

I remember when it was delivered. What is your motivation to sell her?

Moving up in size is the prime motivation, but we also have the great loop on our bucket list, the 650 FLY is just a bit too tall for that trip. For the loop, we would probably go for an express boat.

Good luck with the sale (and purchase) processes Jeff!

I have an idea. Let’s trade and you can take my boat on the great loop and trade back when you are done!

Jeff we toured Sea Gull last week while at the show although not my first 650 tour she is like new.
And we wish you the best in the sale.
Rusty was the best guy to show a 650L that’s for sure !!!!

Jeff,

We exchanged some emails when I was in my early days of moving up to a larger boat. You were very helpful with your feedback about the topics I was concerned about.

Appreciated your postings here. Wish you the best with the transition between boats.

Wish I could offer you knowledge/ experience that would be of value in exchange - but not sure of anything I know would be something you do already have in your bank of experience.

Ken, you have one of the best boats Sea Ray ever made. It would be an awesome loop boat if the geography were right. Incidentally, one of the prospective new owners of Sea Gull would ship her to California.

Thanks, sorry we missed you. There was one guy who came aboard wearing a Club Sea Ray T-shirt, buti got busy talking to another couple and never got his name. It was fun spending a week with Captain Rusty.

Thanks Mark. You did teach me something - that there are brands beyond Sea Ray that can suit our wants, needs, and pocketbooks. That’s a valuable nugget to keep in mind as I search for the next Sea Gull.

Club Sea Ray shirt guy here. Had to stop by and see the boat in person that I have been reading about. Beatiful boat, I'm sure it will make someone very happy. Thanks for letting us take a tour. Good luck.

Nice to meet you John. I’m sorry we didn’t get more time to talk. The couple who came aboard at the same time as you (I originally thought you were together) had a lot of questions and seemed to be serious buyers. They took my attention away from you, but it would have been more fun to sit and talk with you!

Jeff

Nice to meet you too. Sorry we didn't stick around. It did seem like the couple looking at your boat were serious, so we moved on.

Going to the show was a last minute decision on our last day of vacation and didn't have much time before we had to catch our flight.

Again, you have a beautiful boat that looks very well taken care of. I hope you find a buyer soon so that you can move on to the next one.
