hello

Trying to find the correct LED replacements. I have a 2000 380, curious if anyone has a list or working link of what they used.

I would like to convert the cockpit/arch/instrument to blue

Then the cabin,

Any help is appreciated!

Thank you
Chris

Chris,

These will change color from white to red to blue to purple just by cycling the ON/OFF switch.

You would also need an adapter to install

I have a box full of the old Perko lights. Four in the "roof" and four courtesy lights down low.

I put these in in 2017.

Jaybeaux turn me onto these and they’re awesome. They’re clean looking and quality. No regrets at all

I appreciate it guys, I was hoping to update the lamps only, not ready to replace the whole fixture yet

I did 100% of all my DC bulbs from LED Wholesalers. That included festoons, automotive style, G4 base task lamp bulbs, storage bin lights, bilge lights. My storage bin, bilge and head lights are those RV style plastic ones that hold an auto taillights style bulb. I replaced with units that have that plug in, but wires to a multi led flat square that is double side taped inside The fixture. They work great. Like this but I am not sure of the base style.

I used warm white for all because I don’t like the bright white hue. Made a huge difference.

A word of caution when you do the mast lights: make sure you get bulbs that have 360° coverage pattern. A lot of LEDs only shine in one direction. If you have one bulb in your mast light, an LED bulb like that will not shine all around your boat. It could leave you vulnerable to a collision in the dark. Even if you use two bulbs, you might need one with 225° coverage and another with 135° coverage. Strange numbers, I know. But that’s what my anchor light required. Obviously, if you get bulbs that shine in all directions, you’re covered.

Thanks Scooper 321, luckily the anchor light has been replaced, it was installed backward (per survey), have it correct now. I am going back with the standard incandescent bulb for the NAV lights, people had some concerns, and it was just easier to get the originals

Thank you! these look to be for the Cockpit, arch, and rear light below the aft storage. I am documenting this with a pic, so when the link is dead, the next guy will have a pic with the info.

Edit, the 42mm work for the cockpit lights, but really should go with 40 or 38mm, had to persuade it a little

Thanks Mike, I did see that posted while I have been searching the site. Has this been a common problem?

I believe it is, I will definitely be testing mine after I install the new LED lights. I think it is more common in cheaper stuff, but we have seen some issues here over the years with LED's that overheated and the like, if the electronic filters are not there or properly connected in the components LED itself interference can be the end result.

On a similar note I have LED bulbs in my office lamps and cannot listen to AM radio with them on, the interference roar overwhelms the broadcast that comes in well enough to hear when the LED bulbs are off. So I'm a believer in the CG warning just because of that experience.

Thanks Mike, as you mentioned the am radio, I was in the shop of one of my local business' recently. The radio was really staticky. I mentioned they need to adjust the tuner, he flipped the light off and went away. He said "those dang LED bulbs interfere with it".....

I will def be checking it out
