Official 320 Dancer Thread

Looking for some help. This is a new to me boat.

I'm working on getting myself familiar with all the systems aboard. My question is when running ac or heat I should be seeing water discharging from the side of my boat correct? I tried last week when it was a bit warmer in my area with the ac it and was working fine. Now today when I went to test the heat I was not getting much warm air and no water discharging from the side of my boat. Does this system need to be primed in some fashion (boat has been sitting for a week and a half)

Your AC should be peeing anytime the compressor is running whether you are heating or cooling. It really shouldn't need to prime after only a couple of weeks. It should just work. First check the strainer to make sure it is not blocked. If that is ok, then start looking to see if the pump is running and go from there.

When opening the strainer does the seacock need to be opened or closed?

You’re taking about the pump that comes right from the strainer correct?

If so, this pump in my ER would come on and then eventually turn off after a minute or so.

If the top edge of the strainer cup is above the waterline, it's ok to open it with the seacock open. Otherwise you should close it first. The pump coming off that should draw water in for the ac. If it cuts off, chances are it either isn't getting water, there is a blockage upstream, or the pump itself is bad.

Thank you!!!!

Also depends on what the air temperature was. The fan will run and blow room temp air with no water flow if the thermostat is not triggered by the demand for heat.

Today was my last as a 320 owner. Staying in the Sea Ray family with my 400DB. She’s going to a new home with a fantastic boat family. Glad to see her going to such an ideal situation. I’m not leaving this group: I owe a lot to CSR and this thread and I’ll stick around to help pass what I know on. Hope all have a great 2019 season!

I can imagine selling my 320, but man, I can’t really. It was bittersweet selling my 23’ Hurricane deck boat, with just 3 short years of ownership, the memories are already piling up. Good luck with the 400!

Congrats on moving up to the 400. Our new to us 320 is about the upper end on what you would want on our river (there are some 340’s/360’s) here as well. I really need to pay attention to my wake now as I want to respect everyone who has a boat docked on the river.

There’s a screw in the top left corner and bottom right corner in front I found this out by prying the speaker covers off. Lol.. Make no sense how or why they did this......good luck.
So, it sounds like there is no way to take them off without messing them up?

Apparently unless you find the screw indentation with your finger and put a small slice where the screw is to be able to unscrew it.....

Not our first disappointment I guess. Thanks!

What are you talking about?

Mike, What are you talking about.....Swim platform lights? Where do you have them and what do they look like, I'm going to install under water trim tab lights this spring and I'm wondering which switch to use on the dash as well, Please explain in further detail

Port switch pad rear acc switch controls lights. Wire number 216 in bilge on bulkhead wall to power them mine are just above water line and i also did the drain plug

My cockpit sink is leaking, anyone know where I can find something similar to the picture below? I've tried a few local plumbing stores with no success. Or is it best just to replace the whole faucet?

Also, what is the accessory switch for on the DC panel?

Most of the ACC switches control nothing (I have a forward and aft ACC switch, nothing I can find).
I replaced my faucet in 2016, I will have to dig deep to find out where I purchased. Flounder pounder maybe? It was a awful trying to get the existing one loose. Finally did it, had a hard time getting the right tool that would fit on the nut under the sink. Not a lot of room to operate. I’ll post again when I find the part...

This is not the exact part I bought, but it is similar. My part number was 1718686, the new one I bought was a replacement for that, so similar. There are 2 numbers listed, so just check the parts manual to see if you have one of these 2 parts. Inexpensive and maybe a nice upgrade if the existing faucet is etched, like mine was.
