Hello everyone, my wife and I just picked up an 05 340 Sundancer last night and completed a short tutorial with the dealer - one thing we didn't cover was how to operate the TV's. We have one in the Galley area and one outside above the sink, and a small flip down one in the rear birth, its the only one that powers on . I have turned on everything I can think of and they are and for some reason neither power on. Any ideas? Is there a helm switch or something I may be overlooking? Thanks so much!

Feel around the back? top? Bottom? Sides? For buttons. If nothing else download a universal remote app for your phone. As long as you have 110ac at your outlets the tv should work

Yeah I actually press the Power on button and nada.. its like there must be some accessory switch thats not on.

Can you verify there is power to the outlet? Check GFI in bathroom cabinet?

I clicked the GFI in the bathroom last night - but maybe i left it off.. I am going to head back out tonight and test the outlets as well.. We love the boat! Ill post an update tomorrow. Thanks for all the recommendations.

One other thought, is that with 3 TV's on a 340, it's not a stock configuration, so maybe they aren't all 110V units, sometimes folks install 12V TV's, in which case you might have to flip on an accessory breaker on the panel, or somewhere else, to get them power. Not too likely, but I have been on boats with 12V televisions and the power was being drawn from an accessory circuit that had its own breaker switch.

If your generator isnt running or you are not on shore power, those other t.v.'s (besides the small one) will not be getting power.

Thats huge possibility. The boat has lots of addons, two stereo head units, one that plays dvds, track vision, seperate dvd playersin the the rear, two that I could count.. Alot going on in there.. I even found some black box wired in that had these large buttons that say A and B.. Ill post pictures as well.

I never made it back out to the Boat last night ( boyscouts! ) will post an update ASAP.

So I dint take any pictures because I am in the same situation as day one. I had a dock neighbor come over and take a look as well and we have both surmised there must be a hidden custom switch we are overlooking because the TV's are simply off. There is one extra accessory switch on the panel that when I turn on emits a high pitch barely audible tone for a few moments - and I have no clue what Im turning on or off so i flip it back off. Either way TV's are still off.. Im going to ask the salesman to reach out to the person we purchased it from to ask for assistance. thanks again for all the replies.

Good idea! We had a dock neighbor that bought a Meridian that an electrician had owned. I never figured out the electrical system on it.....I told him to get some info from the PO, but he never did.

It wasn't clear if you re-checked the head GFI, because that ended up being my issue in my '97 330 EC. TV's in galley/salon and v berth. Galley accessories and all plugs worked, but TV's wouldn't. I checked the head a couple of times and was convinced there wasn't a GFI outlet in there, then checked again and found it way down low on the sink/cabinet assembly, on a section below the cabinet doors that faces the floor. The only way to see it is to get way low on your hands and knees. Turns out Christmas lights tripped it.

Hey there, thanks, Im going to look again! its been two weeks, still cant figure it out!!!!!

Not sure about an ''05, but our '06 has a GFCI in the cockpit - Cabinet next to cockpit refrigerator.

I mis-spoke in my earlier post, the GFCI outlet in my head is under the cabinet/mirror, oriented face down so you need to be leaning down to see it (not at floor level).

My forward Accs switch on the Port switch pad operates a 750 watt inverter that is wired into the electrical system that has a switch box so it drops off line if the shore power is plugged in or genny is brought on line. This doesn't help your TV power issue, but may explain the high pitched audible sound you are hearing, as mine will do the same. On my 06, the components for the inverter are behind the drawer under the electrical panel in the cabin. Not sure if it was a SR option or if the PO installed it. Very nice option to find after we actually purchased.
My guess is the dealer had the same problem you are having, that is why they didn't go over the operation - just sayin.

You may have an inverter that powers the tvs so you don’t need the genny. Most of them have on/off switches.
