We we’re going to grab a mooring but the kids wanted to get a slip for the pool and Champlins had availability last minute so we took the slip. If anyone is here this weekend stop by and say hello. We are on the Starboard side of the dock wrapping out near the bumper boat / dingy dock area. Boat’s name is Flipper.

Unfortunately Jeremy we missed you by a week. We spent 4th of July week @ Champlins. Block Island and Champlins are our are favorite destination.
Maybe we will cross paths at another time there or in Greenport. It would be great to meet you in person and of course see your boat.

That’s too bad, would have been good to meet. Seems like I missed everyone here by a week. We ran down to Greenport NY last Saturday, then Montauk Mon-Fri. I can’t believe the luck we had with weather. It has been perfect.

We stayed at Gurney’s. (The Old Montauk yacht club). It was a nice place. Good service but I am not sure it is worth the high slip fees. We where there Mon-Fri and it was pretty quiet around the docks. We like to have people around so not as busy as we would have liked it. We are used to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket as once July hits those places are busy till Labor Day. To give them credit they are in the middle of updating a lot of the facilities so I think in a few years once they get it all done it will be a different sorry.
