The power is on as the light on the antenna is on but will TV will not find channels.

As I type this I seem to recall a past discuss that older Glowmex may not work with digital TV signals? This is on a 2000 model year vessel.

Thanks, MM

What kind of TV Mike? I have the original Glomex on my boat but a modern digital TV and I am getting about 20 channels in podunk WV....

I just bought a new dome Glomax and am hooking it up to my old system (2001 sea ray) and I'm having problems receiving a signal. I received a new amplifier and my next step is to change out the old amplifier to see if I can get the system working.

MM, make sure that the a/b switch to go from the transom cable input and the antenna i set to antenna. It should be labelled ship (Antenna) and shore (cable or antenna input from dock). Also on mine, all the connections from the factory were cheap screw on connectors. I found a couple that were really loose including the one hooked directly to the antenna on the arch. I needed a coax removal tool to loosen it and redo the connection. Was about $10 at home depot.

I troubleshooted my Glomex by removing it and throwing it in the dumpster. Of course, I used their replacement guarantee first, which is valid and they are very responsive, but it just never works well on my boat (and neither did any of their free replacement parts they sent me - for free).

We have the original Glomax on our 2002 480DB. It pulls the signal from the airwaves as it is just an antenna and the conversion to digital signal is made at the T.V. (newer digital ready tv's). I have the gain adjusted all the way up and get about 35 channels at our marina.

Hello Mile can you tell me where the antenna/catv (shore/ship) is located? I see the antenna gain selecter but there are no buttoms to go from shore to ship. Is there another one?

We replaced the analog TV on our boat with a new digital TV. Hooked the 2004 UFO antenna up and it worked great. I think your issue most likely involves something simple in the set up of your new TV. Can you find a nearby teenager to get you going?

The older TVs are the problem. You either have to have a digital TV or buy a digital converter. Our 2007 model Glomex pulls in 30+ channels with the amp turned wide open.

Mine quit, the a/b switch is in the back of a storage cabinet. Switch had been bumped, stuck in the middle between a and b.

The troubleshooting is over, my old Glomex antenna works perfectly now. There was an analog switch to change from antenna to cable input from the boat that was stuck in the cable side mode. The switch moved but did not change the source.

Thanks for the responses.

Hi Mike.,,, where was that analog switch located ? Ive never been able to get my Glomex working either ..

In the galley cabinet next to the TV cabinet over the refrigerator. They made it easy to switch as the TV was the old tube style. Should be able to follow the wire. I also discovered Cruisers put the Glomex on its own DC breaker labeled spare that must be on as well.
