Well after more than 30 years in CT, the admiral and I decided to relocate to the Chesapeake. Moved the boat earlier this week down from the CT River to Deltaville. We are completing our purchase of Doziers Regatta Point and moved our boat there. Our closing is scheduled for this coming Monday. We are a mix of excited and nervous but really cant wait for the next adventure to begin. Anyone on the board in the general area? Would love to make some new boat friends that can give some new cruising ideas..

While I'm not but so close Deltaville is a nice place. I have some great friends there Tommy and Penny Hore. They both live right on the edge of the Bay.

Enjoy Deltaville, if you ever drive down to Jamestown stop by

Best of luck in your new venture and enjoy the beautiful Chesapeake.

Welcome to Deltaville and Doziers Home of The Virginia Yacht Club currently and hope to be for many years. GT & crew are currently in Portsmouth’s Tidewater Marina. We shall be back in Deltaville within a couple of weeks and look forward to meeting you. We certainly hope the two of you consider joining the VYC and traveling throughout the area with good company. We’ve never been let down with any of the trips we’ve been on.

As you can see we travel in first cousin boats and will certainly share our travels & boat story’s at the drop of the hat. Fortunately we were able to do The Great Loop during 2015/2016 and plan to head back up into Canada for several months next summer & fall.

See ya soon and we’ve got friends in your new home marina as well,

Amy & John

Good morning John,

I’m absolutely interested in becoming part of the yacht club. I was actually speaking with jimmy a couple of days ago about talking with someone about it. We’ll be onsite for the upcoming event and looking forward to meeting you and the other members. I’m also looking forward to hearing how we can take a great Yachting center and make it even better.

Warm regards,
Don

Congratulations and welcome to Virginia. We are just up the river from you in Urbanna at a marina that was once owned by Dozier.

I went to middle school and my first two years of high school in Middlesex county. My dad was a crabber and oystermen then, locals called him a "come here".

Fast forward 25+ years and I kept my 95 330DA and 2001 Regal 3780 at Norton's and Chesapeake Cove, respectively. If all goes as planned I'll be bringing a 2006 Cruiser Yachts 370 to Deltaville very soon.

John "Gimmie Time"is awesome! It's a great small water town.

As I mentioned in the 480DB thread, we travel down your way from the upper Chesapeake each summer. You've got a lot of neat places to explore; Solomon's, Cape Charles, Norfolk, St. Michaels, Cambridge and the list goes on.

Oh yeah, hi Greg! (mrsrobinson)

We'd love to have you come and stay with us at Regatta Point. I've met so many great people here already. Everyone is completely inviting and down to earth.

You probably did. We had a group of folks from the marina onboard for a ride and to be our tour guides. I did look around a bit for your boat but hadnt seen it...
We are on the last row of docks before the bridge on the town side of the creek.
