Official 370 Sundancer thread

Looking for how to turn on macerator, the only switch that I can find is the breaker in the panel-macerator is functional, no power.
Macerator is aft of holding tank with overboard seacock, no electrical safety switches to Y-valve or seacock, no switches in Head, only breaker in panel
Thanks
Found switch on 12V panel labeled Discharge

Check out what I did with the camper canvas. Instead of doing roll-up vinyl pieces, I went with two sets of side panels; one solid sunbrella to close it in from the weather and another set with just screening. We call it the screen porch. It is one of the most popular spots on the dock during bug season or when the direct sun is too much. Plenty of air and shade. The relevant pics are three or four into the slideshow.

Hello, we have a '96 370... After looking at your pictures, I'd like to ask you about several things you've replaced.

Hello, we bought a 95 sundancer that needs a few things replaced. Would anyone know where to get the exact water heater and both refrigerators? I figured some one may know off hand that just went through this before i start digging into the internet. Thank you! Ed

Sounds like you need the parts manual for your boat.
Send an email to Searay370dancer@yahoo.com. I will send you one. Mine is 1998, but it is based on the 1995 model.
Memory says Norcold DE540 in the galley, the water heater was probably an Attwood at the time. I don't have a second fridge but the Uline SP-17 ice maker in the cockpit. Some had reefers. None of what you are asking about is specific to SeaRay. I'd say, whatever fits, and does the job will work. There is a Kuma brand for water heaters now that look exactly like the "OEM" equipment. You can just search the 370 Sundancer thread here, and get 20 years of advice.

Hi folks. I've been out of pocket for awhile.
Question:
Has anyone replaced the sliding screens on the 4 overhead hatches on a 1999 370? Some guidance on how to remove the frame and where to get replacement screens would be most appreciated. Or is there a recommenced cleaning solvent that might restore them from apparent sunburn?

Here's an interesting transom shower mixer from Scandvik
I expect sticker shock, but it would be cool.

Meanwhile, you can still get a replacement Delta handle, which appears to be a direct replacement for the original equipment. This was at Lowe's

I finally pulled the trigger on this mod. Turns out it's a three day story, so more to come, and I'm still not 100% done. I found both the Scandvik in this post, and the one that's a barrel with a small handle. Tried the latter first, and it was close, but the depth of the cutout in the transom locker was just too thick for that one. Went back and got the T handle as shown in the link above. It was deep enough, but many other issues arose.
More tomorrow, when I can start taking pics, and explaining Euro hardware on a USA boat.
This one's going to be a 150.00 mod. You might do better.

Thanks Gene. I'll check it out. Have you ever taken the framing apart and replaced the screen/?

I have taken the unit apart, but only for re-winding the spring which had sproinged, not to replace the screening.

First you have to carefully pop the corners off. There are long ‘legs’ with ‘hooks’ the hold them in. Once you get those off, it is a simple matter to remove the four screws that hold the unit up. When you get it down, you can see how the four sides snap together. The shade and screen are spring powered just like those old-fashioned window shades so you have to careful not to let the springs unwind - or if you do, you will need to wind them up again before installing.

Good luck on replacing the screening material. I do not remember how it is attached to the roller.

OK, transom shower replacement.
Defender had/has this mixer on its site, I think right around 100.00
Here's what I did to make it all work.
I pulled the thru hull from the left hole (smaller) and put it in the right hole, where the old Delta mixer was. I then installed the Scandvik mixer in the smaller hole. I found mine at a marine parts surplus store here in Bradenton, Florida for 49.95, however it did not have the hose connections with it. Those were 20 a pair, or another 40.00 because I needed 3. So, if you decide to do this, and need a hose adapter, I'll sell you one for 10.00. Marine Surplus has 3 more of these mixers, and probably will ship.

The original mixer hose adapters are NOT 1/2" NPT. They are Metric. They connect to pipe stem, which is pushed into the Whale double female adapter, which then pushes onto the red and blue 15mm tubing. BUT, the coupler is not what you would think either. That pipe stem with the metric 1/2 male thread is not 15mm. It is 1/2" !! I was never able to find a 1/2" male pipe thread to 1/2" pipe stem. There are plenty of 1/2" to 15mm female couplers, and I found a pair on Amazon for 12.00 They will arrive today.
Meanwhile, I made another trip to Marine Surplus, and while looking at the whale fittings, of course I run across a 1/2" Female to 15mm right angle push on coupler, for 1.50 each. So I bought those, and three 1/2" male to 1/2" male pipe adapters at 1.00 each, and finished up the project yesterday. So to summarize, the hose adapter on the mixer is 1/2" Female for all 3 ports (hot cold and mixed out), You need to make all three of them male, so 3 pipe adapters. Then you need 2 1/2" Female to 15mm pipe adapters. Be careful. All the male to push on pile couplers (SeaTech) I could find were for 1/2" pipe, not 15mm. Finally, the shower hose of your choice, and shower head.

Great job on the bottom. I was talking about topsides, as in Awlgrip or something to replace faded thin gelcoat.
And, I got a quote yesterday from We Paint Boats out of Port Charlotte. Very knowledgeable, and fair pricing. To do the topsides and hull, no cockpit: $27,500. Pass. If I was earlier in the game, probably.

Scandvik was the supplier for most of the late 90's plumbing fixtures. See if they have something similar. Goto places will be Great Lakes Skipper, Defender, or your marine surplus dealer. Under the hood, it's just a faucet. You could go to Home Depot and find a suitable replacement.

What parts do you need for this? The only parts that might wear or break are the ceramic discs that make up the valve bodies. If you are handy, you can take the handles of the faucets off and carefully wrench the valve bodies open. Once you get there, you can replace the discs and the rubber washer and viola! (Said in my best Bugs Bunny voice), faucets like new.

i always keep a spare set of those ceramic discs on hand just in case. I got mine on Amazon (where else?)
