The "virus" What are your thoughts

Has anyone read the article where extremist group neo-nazis are trying to spread the virus to jews and policemen if they get infected, by the use of spray bottles and exchanging body fluids....WTH ?? Clue... Alex jones is again behind the conspiracy theories  However the FBI got the notice....

2. Healthcare and Dr. appointments are hard to get with their socialized medical system so population isn’t as healthy as they would otherwise be.

Every country (aside from the US) has socialized health care including the ones that are doing quite well with the virus like South Korea. If enough people get sick at the same time, this thing will bring any health care system to its knees. Too many people got sick all at once in Italy.

That's a good point and probably the most important point at this time. Once the health care systems are maxed out we start accumulating unnecessary deaths.

Well this is interesting... I am told I am exempt and essential... 100% buy in from the employees to stay open... problem is this comes from our suppliers and customer's interpretation of the Law.... it's impossible to get clarification from the government right now....
What do you do? We got several letters from customers demanding we are essential.

I just got a letter from the US Army....turns out I am in the supply chain of bullets to the army... I never knew.
It states I can't close...and demand I keep orders coming... these guys seem pretty serious about their bullets.... here is a clip from that letter

2. Contractors and vendors who manufacture key components in support of the national defense should be protected from closure to allow for the continuation of critical manufacturing operations in support of the warfighter mission. Product Manager for Small Caliber Ammunition (SCA) supports the critical infrastructure of our defense partners and fully supports any mitigating activities that can be taken during the Covid-19 national crisis to lessen disruption to on-going Olin Winchester defense programs to include eliminating possible plant closures where/when feasible.

That's what I was thinking. My wife just went into town to the store. I added beer to the list just before she went out the door.
Good call. Beer's on my list during the way home tonight. Rumor has it, the Governor is going to announce a shelter in place soon.

Awesome. Good luck.

@Blueone - What does your business do?
For Olin Brass/Wieland we make inserts that cut the ingots of Brass/bronze coming out of their mills....so this is raw brass/Bronze....our inserts 200 go into a cutter body that machines the ingot square .....about as far as you can get from a bullet...but I will take it

That's kind of the fallacy behind all these "stay at home" orders. There are so many exemptions, then what's the point. Basically, the only people forced to stay at home are office workers (many who can work from home any way) and retail store clerks who's store doesn't sell food. All the "stay at home" order and the big speech "justifying" it do is create a continued panic.

@Golfman25 - I understand where you're coming from, but disagree in some respect. My guys are safer on the job than off. We are removed from others and once they are finished work, they go home. It's pretty much the same as a "stay at home" but keeping the US essentials functioning. We have moved office staff to 1 with others working from home....It's about as social distancing as you can get.

If anyone is doing the math, 353k cases have been confirmed for the duration of this thing, and of those 15k have died. So that’s a 4% mortality rate. Granted some areas are much lower (South Korea and Germany at less than 1%) and some much higher (Italy close to 10%). Many people in Italy are dying because they are not able to get medical care. The opposite is true in South Korea where they aggressively prepared for this since the onset in December (even when there were no infections in S Korea yet ..they were getting ready).

No one is quite sure why people in Germany aren’t getting that sick though.
In Germany they test many more people then elsewhere so outcome numbers are different.

In Italy there was a soccergame on the 19th februari that never may had been played. Atalanta-Valencia 40.000 people, a biological bom. At this moment Italy is doing better, less new infected en deaths drop. Medical care in Italy is not that bad. The problem was capability of the massive numbers of infected on the IC on same days.

I think all over the world the number of infected people are so much more then we could imagine. The people with bad defense system are the unlucky ones :( . Every evening I light up a candle for those who aren’t able to fight the virus...
