WOW police counting people on boats today in Ft. Lauderdale

What ever happened to just waiting for the doctor to pronounce “ITS A BOY”.
I am so sick of this instant gratification culture we are stuck in. I guess I’m just becoming a cynical old fart.
I totally agree. The gender of your baby is one of the last things you can truly be surprised about. My wife and I didn't find out the genders of our kids ahead of time and it was a wonderful surprise.

When parents tell announce the gender of their baby ahead of time, to me it's a total let down. We had a baby, it's a girl! I know, you told me already, and the kids name. Big whoop.

I think these "reveal parties" are an obnoxious attention-grabber. And @Gofirstclass, I totally get the possible confusion with a person changing their gender identity. I'm roughly half your age and thought the same thing the first time I heard of it.

I had a gender reveal party.
When my kid popped out, their gender was revealed.
After my wife and baby were back settled in the hospital room, My buddies took me out and we partied like hell.
However, that was awhile ago, my youngest is 35

...and one of these will be POTUS in the future. :(

Today teenagers tend to be such snowflakes. Even my teenager. I can’t beat the shit out of him like I did his way older brother and sister. It’s just a new organism now w the machines.

He and his buddies have friends that are girls. Real just-friends. Even if they have a girlfriend or boyfriend they hangout with others like just friends. Back in my day that called for some up close face time ( in person not the iPhone thing).

You can’t hit in football. This year in hockey they toned the checking and hitting down.

It’s everyone gets a trophy nowadays.

Men are now going to bridal and baby showers too.
I’ve turned down invitations to a couple of them in the last year or so.
My wife gave me a bit of a hard time about declining to go. Told her that I’d start going to those things right after I took up sword swallowing. She got it!

I drew the line too. My wife knowingly married a male chauvinist pig with old time ideas of male-female relationships. I am not changing, much to the chagrin of my 14-year old daughter.

Hey now. I'm gen X and we never had a gender reveal party for my son (now nearly 4yo) as they are ridiculous.
Me too and we didn't have one of those parties either. My "wife" had a baby shower. I went to the local bar with some friends while that was happening.

Did anyone see this video. It really highlights a key reason why this is still spreading rapidly. The only positive in it was the comments posted on the video give me hope there are signs of intelligent life out there. Sorry if has been posted before.

I have 3 clinical cardiology credentials. I understand what this doctor is explaining. He is accurate when he describes the intended use of a ventilator.

He has a valid point. Hypoxia is different from pneumonia and thus treated differently.
