The "virus" What are your thoughts

I personally would prefer to NEVER have a politician dictate anything that involves me and my health care provider. Our Govr claimed after the fact that she didnt want people originally prescribed here to go without because of covid treatments. I wasnt aware Michigan had a huge molaria problem in the winter.

Cuomo is restricting DOCTORS from PRESCRIBING the medicine.

That drug is being used by doctors for COVID-19 all over the country and globally.

If you live in NY and get sick and your doctor wants to prescribe it guess what? Cuomo will not allow your doctor to treat you w it.

Hope you’re not in NY.

And let's not forget why Canada has such a small military force, and a small budget for that military force. That's because Canada knows it's neighbor to the south will defend Canada in a time of war and use American resources, not Canadian. The US will not allow a foreign power attack a neighboring country, and Canada knows this, hence the benefit for Canada to spend less on it's military program.

True, the US has a stronger military, however, Canada has stronger beer!

Exactly what I said. It is very sad where the world is going. I am not going to wade into this debate about how much countries are spending on military. It does not save a single life. What we all do as individuals in this crisis will be a function of our inner morality and sense of right and wrong. That is how we are all judged in the end, by our legacy or by a higher power - whatever floats your boat.

My daughter in Indy is working today and the hospital is out of goggles and face shields for nurses and techs.... They gave them all sun glasses today to use instead of nothing.

I hope she stays safe. My daughter in law is a nurse in Indianapolis too. This was supposed to be her kids school break and Florida bound. She was supposed to take two weeks off.

Obviously, not going but is going to take the two weeks. I asked her if she was going back to work since the pay is good. She said no, but may go in for a few days.

Currently her two elementary age kids are staying with her Mom. Safer to stay away :(.

She was also informed that a few days before she got off one of her patients had the virus. So far four nurses have it too.

Shut a hospital down here in Ashland Ky
Last week. Not profitable.

Just don’t understand why hospitals are laying people off.

There are ways to separate positive patients.

What about all the regular patients that need care?

No elective surgeries or non-emegency visits mandated by the government. Areas where the virus is barely impacting anything, hospitals cant afford to stay open. No money comin in. Thats what i read anyways.

My son was suppose to get his tonsils and adnoids out in three days. Obviously that was cancelled weeks ago. Who knows when he will get in. His tonsils are so inflammed they are touching. Feel awful for the little guy

Where are you and why are they laying off

Its back in Middle Tennessee. The hospitals have lost 35% or more of their business. Remember, hospitals do more than Covid19. Under these draconian lock downs doctors are told no non essential services to be offered. So routine procedures are cancelled.

That and nobody is getting into car accidents etc. The USS Comfort has very few regular old patients as well. I guess it's something the "experts" didn't think about -- if you lock everyone into their homes and prohibit elective procedures, there won't be a need for those providers.

It's this draconian bullshit being peddled by politicians. Hospitals do so much more than just the Covid19. And take other health professionals, dentist, chiropractors, etc. All shut down at the behest of the government.

My local hospital closed back in December. The FBI was there and took a bunch of stuff. Joe Bidens brother is supposedly involved in a scheme that caused it to close. I mentioned a few weeks ago that they should open it back up for this emergency. Well it has been talked about and was on the news. The local State Rep and the mayor have been on the news talking about it.
