Table Rock Lake

I am new to the forum, but spend a good bit of time on TRL. Usually put in at the state park or Chateau. Love taking long trips up to Cape Fair or the Hideaway for lunch. Head back down in lake July.

Welcome to the forum! Also new to the forum, but was born and raised in Branson. State Park has still been manageable with the lake level up so high, and I'm sure Chateau still is as well. When the lake got up to around 931.5, Port of Kimberling was closed and Indian Point's ramp is still technically closed. I think they are letting people get in and out for service, but it's a bit dicey.

We are out nearly every weekend, and especially with the 240 now. It's hard to justify going somewhere on vacation during the summer when you live "in vacation". We love taking long trips up and down the lake and also like to cove out in Coombs Ferry or Roller Coaster cove by Silver Dollar City.

Welcome to the forum. We love being on TRL. We are down most weekends in the summer. We generally anchor in Powerline cove (by Chateau) or Coombs Ferry.

Hey guys. Well, I finally got my boat back. 354 days after my marina crushed my windshield Taylor Made finally made the correct one. The mechanic the marina uses (or used to use) couldn't figure out how to install it. I fired him and got McCall marine (former service manager at MarineMax) to do it last week. Perfect install and we are thrilled to have our 270 back running. Love TRL.

That’s great, at least it wasn’t a year, damn, that’s tough do, I year without your boat.... enjoy!

Man, that’s rough! Glad you have it back and it’s squared away! Finding techs with reasonable availability around the lake is tough, finding a good one is even tougher! My oldest is going into the industry and is going to work for Hughes Marine.

We’ll be out this weekend, though Friday and early Saturday am I’ll be going some gel coat repair on a family member’s jet ski. Always something with watercraft!

Bottom Line,

We end up in roller coaster every weekend for a while, Also like Powerline. Where is Coombs at? Might have been there, but don't know all the names. We will be back 7/29-8/9. Wish we could get there sooner, but life takes over

Completely understandable, life definitely happens and as much as we’d all love boating to be at the top of the list, it can’t always be.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the map that shows Coombs Ferry, it’s just Southwest of Indian Point, not far from Roller Coaster. The last two weekends RC has been really busy with some yacht-sized boats back there (Meridian and Carver). Coombs can get really crowded too - especially on holiday weekends. Sundays are usually a bit quieter there.

Ok, is that the cove off the main channel across from the Chateau? There is always a lot of boats in there usually?

Robb

Yes, it’s due West from Chateau, right off the main channel. The peninsula used to be a campground, which closed down because the Corps didn’t want to maintain it I believe.

Coombs ferry is almost directly south of Indian point, with entrance on chateau side of lake...some people also all it barn cove, because there is a barn towards the back of the cove.

Lots of boats on the lake today! We headed over to Coombs after the kids did some jet skiing off the East side of Indian Point. Quite a few boats in there today and only a few sprinkles to speak of. We were the last boat to leave the cove. Thought about staying out overnight, but our two youngest have to work tomorrow. Look like tomorrow will be another nice day!

I won't mention who tried to put the windshield on first....

I just looked back at page 31 on this thread. It took almost 3 years worth of posts to need a page 32. Amazing considering the number if Sea Rays I see every day on the lake.
That's a fact - and I'm sure that a number of us know quite a few of the owners. You nearly can't jump into TRL from your boat without bumping into a Sea Ray!

It's kind of surprising that as many Sea Ray's are on Table Rock and LOTO, there are not more on the forum. I didn't even take the boat out Saturday. I put a new impeller in the generator and we just hung around the dock.

Ok, That is the one that I was thinking of. If all goes well, we will be there 7/29-8/9

Anybody out over the 4th weekend? The lake was as big as I have seen her ever. Between big cruisers running on plane and the wind, we hit some 6 footers. Plus I had 13 adults on my boat. Crazy.

Yeah, we were out all weekend. On the 4th, we coved out in Coombs from about 10 that morning until about 6PM and then headed over to Rock Island Grill to grab some dinner. From there we headed back out to watch fireworks at the Chateau. People got a little worked up at the potential weather and there was a mass exodus from Coombs around 4PM or so as that outflow boundary moved through. The Mayse family had their big cruiser out and there were lots of other big cruisers and general traffic. The lake has been busier this year than I have ever seen, even on non-holiday weekends.
