Hi guys,
Looking for a bit of guidance.
2017 350 SLX OB.
My grill suddenly stopped working and some basic troubleshooting has led me to the continuous clicking of the 30A relay below my grill, behind the fridge. From what I can tell, the relay powers the brown outlet behind the trash receptacle, and the grill is plugged into that outlet. As soon as i turn the "GRILL" switch 'ON,' from Main Dist control panel in the cabin, which would normally juice that outlet, the clicking beings and just goes continuous.
I unplugged the grill to rule that out and same outcome, relay clicking. Does this relay serve any other purpose that would be throwing it once hot? Could water have gotten into the actual brown outlet or similar, and would that even cause the relay to click? I am hoping its just the relay went bad. Everything else seemingly works fine on the boat, and again, the relay does not click/ try to activate until i switch GRILL ON from Main Dist control panel.
My plan is to replace the relay and see if that corrects my issue, unless CSR comes to the rescue with another few initial steps.
In order to not fry myself: just to verify.
disconnect shore power.
main battery switch knob to OFF
Inverter switch off.
All mains switches off.
Replace relay, by unplugging old, plugging in new, no set order, just ensure correct pins.
Test.
Do I need to do anything within the bilge compartment at the actual Inverter or batteries?
Thanks for the help!
