They Will both not run if the tank is full. The fluid level sensors In the tank get dirty and if dirty the level gauge is not accurate. Put a flashlight the side of the tank and see if it’s full or not.

Yep this is true. Just learned this after a year of ownership. If you disconnect the plug in sensors outside of the holding tank, the pumps will run again. Of course, you only want to do this to override the sensors when you know the holding tank is not full.

I’m going to get to know her REAL well!

all of the CO detectors are the fireboy cmd-4. In looking to replace them, some boats had a relay. Any idea if ours does?

are they daisy chained or all operate independently?

I have a bicycle air pump and check pressure visually pretty much monthly. I’ve added air typically about once a year as cooler weather the pressure drops some just like car tires. You really don’t want to wait till you’re steering wheel has play in it as you’re autopilot will hunt more often then. It’s easy and only takes a couple of minutes. Gauge is above the reservoir on starboard bulkhead.

My Sea Star Power Steering Resevoir fluid was at the full line and zero PSI showing on the gauge. I added 30PSI of Air into the reservoir tank which not surprisingly reduced the fluid level almost down to the low fill mark.

Anxious to see how differently the steering will perform.

I have had the boat for over a year and assume there has not been any air in the system at least since then.

What has everyone done on replacing TVs? Where do the stateroom TVs plug into?

What's the largest we can go with in the salon?

Will probably yank the one on the bridge. What has everyone done up there?

The three stateroom TV’s all plug into an 120volt inverter feed from the 12volt system behind the wall. There are access panels on the back side except in the bunk rooms. We installed 3 new 24” Vizio HD TV’s in the cabins and a 43” TV in the Salon.
If you don’t replace the TV’s to digital the antenna feed from the hardtop is useless.

We do use the bridge TV for evening movies. Hard to watch during the day because it’s so bright.
Occasionally, I will watch the news up there early in the morning.

Thanks! How did you get the bunk tv plugged in with no access panel?

What size did you go with on the bridge?

I just corrected the info on the original post, the Cabin TV's (3) are all 24" Vizio D24F.

On the bunk room, I believe I cut the old plug off and patched in the new power harness. The bridge has 24" TV as well. You could put a larger TV up there but it will start to block your view. I don't take it down.

Another thing! The freezer in the galley gets plenty cold, but it does not make ice (no water). I didn't spend a bunch of time thinking about it until today. What are the chances it's broke, or that there is a water shutoff that needs to be turned on?

The water inlet tube can freeze up as well. I used a heat gun to thaw mine out.

The water shut-off for the freezer is located next to the washer/dryer in the “basement”. The water manifold is labeled and there’s a key to turn the valves on and off. The “T” handle key will be parallel to the water line in the open position and at a perpendicular direction in the off position. Hopefully that makes sense.

Exactly what I was looking for!

Thank You

Any secret to removing the overhead lights? Was going to change dead bulbs, but can’t get the fixtures out. I can slide a tool under the bezel, but they won’t pull down.

There is a strong spring on each side. Slowly pull down. See below LED solution that is the perfect size.

I finally got one out and my LEDs were a tad long, even with cutting the pins down. Thank you for the link!

My only complaint about my boat is the dinghy blocking access to the rear locker, electrical cord, water supply etc. I've looked into adding on an extended rear thru swimplatforms.com The quote was in my budget. However, if I move the dinghy (I have an 11' boston whaler) aft to the extended platform, would my crane even be able to lift the dinghy? Is there enough travel of the crane?

Another option is to add the Sea Weed Marine Lift (https://seaweedmarine.com) we had one on our last boat and it works really well. You can have a manual winch or electric winch. They are removable as well with a quick release pin. The owner does all of their builds (at least he use to) and is very helpful in the design process and after.

I will explore this option as well.

When Rudy was developing his Sea Weed Lift System back in 2003 or so, he was at our marina and they needed some test mules. So my previous boat was equipped with his Sea Weed prototype #2. The system worked very well, in some ways better than the hydraulic platform I now have. I can recommend it and they are good people to work with.

Yes Rudy is the owner I worked with.

Keep in mind each one is custom built so there is a process. In the end you won’t be disappointed. You can keep the dingy tucked in overlapping the platform or extend it out to the edge to give you more use of the platform.

I do not own stock in Sea Weed by the way...(smile) I just liked that setup
