I tore my rotator cuff, and bicep. Had surgery Monday, now I get to spend the winter recovering so I'm ready for spring.
First surgery ever, I guess I'm pretty lucky.

I took Oxy's Tuesday and Wednesday, just Advil today. I can deal with some pain to not take narcotics.
There's no way I would want to do both shoulders at the same time techmitch.

Exactly. Their logic/theory as to dependence on the "better one" after they do the "worst one" during recovery/rehab causing far more damage has great merit but the timing is far from the best.

I had a total shoulder separation years ago, they patched me up good. That sucker hurt, went to work for a week hammered on pain pills. o_O

Getting old sucks.... that’s it that’s all I got
It does, but it's better than the alternative.
Woody, I can't go back to work with restrictions, so I'll be off for five or six months.

There is a bright side.... I just got $3.00 off my breakfast at IHOP this morning for being over 55.. :) although the only reason I am at IHOP is my wife is getting a colonoscopy and they wouldn’t let me in the building.... so ya second thought getting old still sucks.

Best of luck with recovery/rehab! And agreed while getting old sux, it definitely beats the alternative!

Had the same surgery years ago. Fell down from the stairs on my 400DB bridge to cockpit. OUCH!!! Had 7 tears laparoscopy repaired. Sling for 6 weeks and physio therapy afterwards. Very important.
Good luck with yours and heal quick. Ready for next season.

I had my right rotator cuff done several years ago. 2 years ago I crashed a Lime scooter and tore my left cuff and bicep. I has those fixed right away. Recovery time stinks. Put 10 pounds on each time. I could not see doing both at the same time. How would you wipe your butt? My wife was a big help however she has her limits.

This may be a personal question, but how in the heck did you do that? Hopefully it wasn't from shoveling snow like some of us did a few weeks back.

I really don't know how I did it. The only thing I can think of is some repetitive heavy lifting at work for the past couple of years. I can't say that's it though, so no work claim. We replaced several hundred deep cycle batteries on an emergency siren system, and they're pretty heavy.
Even though the picture looks like it's my left, it's my right, and I'm right handed.

Good luck with the rehab!

You’ll be ready to work that rotary polisher soon enough!
