I tried to raise my outdrive/propeller out of the water the other day on my Sundancer 250 and the switch on the throttle is not working. I hear a little clicking down at the outdrive, anybody have any ideas? I heard it is not a fuse or electrical problem, that was from my boat mobile mechanic. What could be the problem with the out drive ? I can’t raise the outdrive up to trailer mode with the other switch on the throttle either .

Most likely culprit... the trim/tilt solenoid has failed. Jump the solenoid - does it now work? Bingo - problem found. Replace both.

Has 2 solenoids. Top is up and bottom is down. When you replace just remember blue wire (sky) is for top and green (grass) is for bottom. Easy way to remember

So I’m guessing this is why my trim gauge on the dash isn’t working ?
The gauge is for outdrive angle not for trim tabs angle ?

Yes. The guage is only for the drives. On the drive you have a trim sender unit. ( goes to guage) other side is a trim switch control. ( tells motor to stop at a certain spot to not over trim) this is bypassed when you use the trailer button
