Keep Track of Rising Prices

Gas around me (St. Louis) has gone up 42.5% since January 20th. The excuse we got for our $.25 overnight increase this week is the refineries in Texas are all shut down. Pretty soon it will be the "summer blends". I told the admiral to expect to pay $5.00 on the water this summer. Most we paid last year was $2.99.

Yep. We were paying 3.99 on the water last year. Let's see what it is this year.

Along those lines we heard the same with COVID. Last March we heard 'just wait until summer when everyone is outside and see how fast it spreads'. then when summer came they said 'just wait until winter when everyone is stuck indoors and see how fast it spreads'...lol

Fauchi and the moving target. You said you are a little north of Pitt. Any where near Wexford?

Yep. I'm in Lawrence County but used to work in Warrendale. We boat on the Ohio River but our marina is on the Beaver River in Bridgewater. I don't make it to Wexford too often but I'm about 30 or so miles north of Wexford.

Got it. My sister and BIL live in Wexford. We used to visit them quite a bit when our kids were younger. We usually stay in Cranberry. Nice area.

Yeah Warrendale is pretty much in Cranberry. I'm in Cranberry quite a bit

New 370 Sundancer $750k base price. My 320 in 2007 equipped was $250k - I believe the 340 back then was around $300k.

2.89 per gallon here now. up from 2.19 on inauguration day

Local gas station price for 87 octane on Monday was $2.679. Driving home today the price for 87 octane at the same gas station was $2.759.

Same gas station is up to $2.899 now for 87 octane.

Said on the news last night that the reason fuel prices are going up is the cold weather in texas caused the refineries there to shut down and prices should be going down as the refineries are just now coming back on line. Don't know if I'm buying that one as gas use hasn't went up with everyone staying home. If Trump was still in office the high prices would be his fault.

What about the price of other necessities such as steel? It’s way up too.

Well, US steel requires US iron ore. Iron ore is excavated. We can’t have any excavating, so let’s buy Chinese steel instead.
More Bring Back Better.....

Everything is going up. Called inflation. Happens when the feds sign $3T handouts and start printing more money.

Our gas was already up 30%+ before the weather hit Texas. The media is covering for Biden. Build Back Better and more expensive.

View attachment 99790 We do all of our grocery shopping at Kroger. We usually end up getting 2 to 3 dollars off per gallon every month. You can only use $1 at a time for up to 35 gallons. We will drive both cars to the pump. This is what we paid last April. 39.9 cents a gallon

I paid $1.49 a gallon last week.
I love doing that at Kroger in Marietta, GA. Also. buy a $100 HD Gift Card when the are on 4x fuel points are on for a simple $.40 off per gallon just for that. I've enjoyed seeing that same $.39 before as well...

Don't bring up Publix food prices here in FL or in GA...Sheeez compared to Kroger.

We always stop at a Publix in Fort Meyers on our way to Sanibel. I always thought they were very expensive. Especially compared to our grocery stores. We thought maybe it was a Florida thing.

December we had over 4,000 in points. Bought a lot of 4x point gift cards. If I needed to buy something from Amazon I would buy a gift card first.

It is 4x gift cards on weekends now. Will be buying an Amazon card. I need to buy and install a new radiator for my Suburban. Doesn’t look too hard.
