2006 340 Dancer; Does anyone know where i can find a cockpit sink? The sink has cracked. Also, the actuator switches for the engine hatch lift are intermittent Can the switches be replaced or do I have to replace the entire panel?
Thank You!

Those plastic sinks in the cockpit are crap and expensive - if you can find them. I am having to replace the head sink because the rim around the basket completely cracked. I am hoping to retrofit a stainless into mine this year as well as the cockpit. To accommodate the head sink I am going to have to have a countertop fabricated. I don't think you would need to do that in the cockpit but we are probably going to do that to and under mount the sink. You will also need to watch the sink depth as it sits on top of the cockpit fridge.

The engine hatch lifts work of the keypads that interface with the EIM to activate. The keypads are sealed units and not serviceable. I would check power and look for a bad connection or ground at the actuator and hope its not the Keypad as they are getting harder to find and more expensive. Also check the safety on the lift that prevents the hatch from opening when the transom door is closed.

If it is the keypad and you can not find one or do not want to pay the price and that is the only problem then you could always just run a dedicated switch for the actuators. I have been thinking about doing this as a backup system anyway.

Hi Scott...thank you did you replace your sink? Ive heard some say you can crack the gel coat around the sink very easily? Any insights? Obviously the cockpit fridge must be removed, Probably change faucet while at it??

BTW...havent figured out how to PM on here yet!

The cockpit sink area is reinforced with plywood laminated to the underside. The sink is much more fragile. A flat blade razor breaks the silicone sealant loose. I replaced both sinks, and the cockpit faucet. No pictures yet.

wow...nice! Sounds like I should just find a nice sink. Did you use stainless sinks?

Do a search for cockpit sink replacement, I think there are several threads on using stainless scandvik sinks. Watch the clearance between the drain plumbing and the top of the cockpit fridge.
