Official 320 Dancer Thread

Welcome to the club! I don't have much input but wanted to say I like that ice maker where the TV is idea. I've been trying to figure out where to keep one. I'm new to my 2003 320 last year so I'm still figuring out many things.
Also, would you consider selling the tan canvas?

Welcome to the Club 320!

I wanted to just mentioned i removed the back padding that goes around the bed and added a KING topper. I
gained more space and now its so much more comfortable to sleep in with my wife.
Do you have some pictures of that?

Hello, new to the Sea Ray club. Upgrading from a Larson 290 I/O's to a 2003 320 V-Drive, Fresh Water cooled, 2 New Short Blocks. Spent many a nights on the Larson and looking to do the same on the 320. Going over a list or projects and would lover to hear thoughts from others. Will be going through the entire thread may take some time.

Plan to add a mattress to topper to the v-birth. Any tips on bedding? Anyone use the topper to extend the mattress in any way?

Will be removing the tube TV and use the space for something. Thinking either Wine Racks or Ice Maker and Keurig.

Would like a folding table for up top to make smaller and easier to get around when not needed. Anyone have something similar, please to pick up?

Canvas may be good for a few years but would like to convert from Tan to Black. Had Tan on the Larson and was tough to keep clean. Are there online places to purchase standard replacement (camper back) or do you need to do custom.

No Smartcraft gauges are installed. Worth adding?

Was consider replacing RL70C display but researching it briefly may have to change the entire setup (radar included) and not just the display.

Would love to remove carpet downstairs and replace with teak. Looks like a big job though. Will keep researching.

Im sure we will have more questions. Looking forward to reading the entire thread. :)

Anyone add a flat screen TV to the bulkhead on the 2003 320 DA? Want to remove the small TV and replace with ice maker, and add new TV.

Mine came with a tv on the bulkhead, never use it though. Not sure how it is attached. We did remove the small tv and put a basket there attached with Velcro. We store a coffee maker, mugs, etc.

I did not ADD a tv to my bulkhead but I did change the original LG tv out. I removed the paneled frame, removed the tv from the mount and then removed the mount. It was pretty quick and simple. I saved the paneled frame in case I need to use the material to "patch" something that might happen to the interior. Then I mounted a new smart TV that covered the entire bulkhead. I think it was a 43 inch? I used the same power cord that was already there - trying to fish a new cord through was a nightmare but the original cord went over to the electronics control panel. Let me know if you have any more questions. Overall a very simple project. I will attach a couple of pics.

What did you do with the light switch, just behind the tv?

Does anyone know how to access the transducer on a 320? It is a thru-hull that is tied into the Mercury Smart Craft gages. it works, but id like to see it on my GPS display. I think its original. It is on the centerline of the hull in front of the v-drives. My arms wont reach. Any help/guidance is much appreciated.

I have also noticed water under the cushion you mentioned. Still trying to figure out the source. My theories are: something getting in from the fresh water fill hole, a small leak with one of the spots where the grab rails attach to the hull, or perhaps a leak from the cockpit ice maker (I had a small leak) although that would be surprising.
Will let you know if I figure it out.
Well I was at the boat yesterday on the hard, doing some stuff and pulled up that cushion and low an behold there is water back in that area. I dried it in Nov when boat was pulled. So there is a rain leak of some sort. Not sure about water fill neck? was that on the deck to neck surface or below on the tubing.
Also going back, I had water come in the med chest in head, dripping out of that access port inside. When I looked last year it was hard to tell the source. The cushion material from interior is folded over and excess is in that access port and it was wet too.

I was not able to reach either. I ended up installing an in-hull transducer, P79?, to work with my Simrad. Installed on the hull inside the cabin where the Sump box is, right at the foot of the stairs. Part of that area by the sump is sloped, so installed it there. Ran the cable up to the bow by the AC under the bed, then over to the Starboard side and all the way back down to the Master AC/DC panel, then up to the helm. That was fun. I had to cut the connector off to make it easier to run. Just spliced them together, no issues so far.

Thanks for the advise. I will take a look at installing it that way

Any luck finding your leak under that aft cushion?

If you’re talking where the central vac is; mine was wet for a while. It was coming around the window in the head and works it’s way to that spot. You can easily check by putting your hand up the access panel in your medicine cabinet to see if wet after rain.

I dont have a vacum but it think we are talking the same locale. Right behind the stairs port side under cushion in mid berth.
