500/520 DB official thread

I have the water softener strapped to the wall inside the trunk with the pre filter I run the water supply hose from the dock to the pre filter and a hose from the outlet side if the softener to the tank fill on the boat it has to be removed to be recharged so it needs to be accessible. By storing it in the trunk the pre filter and softener are away from the UV of the sun.

Jeremy-- did you need additional harness for the QSM11's to install the 703?

Stepping in... Jeremy may have more to add but this is the wiring diagram of my system. You will loose your Smartcraft Analog Gauges if you don't add all of the wiring harnesses.

Thank you for stepping in because I wouldn’t have remembered exactly but after looking at your diagram I do. I did have to buy additional harnesses. So in the end. What he said.

Gimme Time has the same one that I carry with us everywhere we go. I do the Spring Clorox 3 cups to a full fresh water load. Run through all devices but the refrigerator ice make. I don’t start it back up till everything else is done. I let mine sit over night then flush the next morning through all distribution points. Refill the tank and I put 1/8 cup in with every fill up from then on. The water is very soft and I love the shower with the soft water.

How often do you have to flush and recharge the unit?

Keep your fingers crossed for me, I think I finally found the part broken on my salon sliding door. One of my roller assemblies was shot, and Taylor Made has been WORTHLESS about helping replace it. Ebay of all places. Wanna be mind-blown? Google sliding door rollers and hit images...OMG!

Good question. Are the rollers the same on top and bottom?
Are the ones in your pic above from just one location or 2 from top and 2 from bottom? They look all the same in the picture. I would assume the bottom takes the load and top is more of a guide.

Great idea. I hope Joe chimes back in. 2 uppers, 2 lowers. Thanks Jeremy, I'm making a call now to my marina. M
