Our cruiser is 90 model Sundancer 350 with the two white lights on the mast and a running white light on the stern bulkhead and finally the red and green bow lights respectfully.
I thought when in "Nav light mode" all running lights including the stern light are become illuminated. That is with the exception of the aft mast white light correct?
I have no power at anytime to the front portion of the mast. I've checked and found no breaks in wiring. No fuses blown. Does someone have a wiring diagram for this type of system? help appreciated.

Yes, when in Nav mode, the front portion of the masthead should light up, along with the transom-mounted light.

Most manuals have wiring diagrams. If your's doesn't, look to a different year for your boat or even a different model boat (possibly newer) as the wiring is standard. You can download manuals from SR's site if you need to.

FYI... I originally had the same setup on my Grady. I re-wired... I removed the transom light from the circuit and wired that to it's own switch so I could use it for a swimplatform light. I then wired the masthead so that BOTH masthead lights came on during not only "anchor" mode, but also "Nav" mode. That still satisfies the USCG requirements - and it would for your boat, as well. A couple years later, I ended up replacing the old 2-light masthead light with a single-light masthead light (LED) since the wiring would already support that. Apparently, a tree branch is stronger than a masthead light...

The early 90's manuals do not include the wiring diagrams. That was a dealer thing. There really isn't much to the manuals other than how to use something. Any real care your having to research. And like our dealer, they are MIA.

Yup - if not there, go to a newer model. Like I mentioned, it's pretty standard. I've seen some older manuals where there were wire colors for each circuit, which would work, too - but maybe not all manuals had that, either.

I wish! That will get you somewhere. My factory paper one has nothing about wiring at all. The downloaded also has nothing. And I have downloaded up to 97. Things are pretty different after 95. Now if the local dealer would answer their phones........

All you really need to find, though, is SOME model that has a masthead and transom light. For instance, a 2000 340DA uses that setup and should have a regular wiring diagram. Or, look up the switch model for a diagram - or even a newer switch of the same design. Another way is to match up the wires/colors at the switch with the wires at the fixture. Der's always a way! :)

Did you check with a volt meter?

When I bought my 290 DA I had to clean the contacts and get some new bulbs before the mast light would work consistently.
