SmartCraft Gas Gauge- Adjustable?

Hi All,

I think my gas gauge is broke. It doesn't seem to read above 5/8 full. I filled it until gas poured down the side of the hull. Operator error? Any thoughts?
 
Did it work correctly at some point? If so, the floats likely went bad.
 
Well, you can adjust a smartcraft fuel gauge from the tach menu if you have that option, but not sure that is the fix.
