Electric boats should appeal to clean fingernails types

JM, i am done. You win. You will never get it that different parts of this country dont have the infrastructure that you have. Good night and happy thanksgiving.

BTW, I’m not arguing for a EV Revolution. I think old cars are great, and I think gasoline cars serve a purpose. I don’t think they need to be “taken away”. I do think our government should assist in EV r&d and adoption. Again not to replace, but to supplement gas cars.

We shouldn’t rely so heavily on one source of fuel. Having alternatives is good for everyone and the earth.

again, I’m not supporting that gas cars be taken away from you. I am in support of alternatives to gas cars. There’s a big difference, between those two viewpoints, IMO.

Does your power come to your house from the street? If so, the power company will eventually plant chargers next to the road. It’s just a matter of time before they figure out how they can make money from this and sell even more electricity.
I cant get reliable service from the street box from comcast and Verizon. And i am supposed to buy a car where my power source is them?!!

No man, your power company. Your power drop probably comes from the street.

And I agree said upthread. In city it great. Overland, just no, but this govt cant see the difference.

I don’t think our government has mandated an end-date for gas cars? Have they?

Don't you have to use your CC to pay and on lock the plug to the charger, And what does it cost to charge the car in 20 minutes.
I know the faster the car charges the more electricity it uses and the more it cost.
No, that’s all set up with Tesla in advance one time. The charging station reads the car identity and Tesla maps that to the credit card on file. So it’s automatic pay. Costs us between $6-$8 to recharge. So we get about 200 miles for that price.

Even if they put a charge station next to the fire hydrant across street, even if, did you see my post earlier about the length of cord? How am I supposed to haul it out there?
Why can’t the station be put right beside the curb where every car parks? Like parking meters?

Guys! Listen to what you’re saying! “Tesla sets it up in advance” “Tesla maps to your credit card”. Tesla controls the car, fuel, payments, fuel costs. This dont scare you?

You can buy EVs from other companies. Doesn’t have to be Tesla. In fact the Ford Mach-e is getting really good reviews.

Because the hydrant is across the street. About 200’ from the house. Who is paying for the cord? Who paying when its stolen? 25’ is $110. 200’ is $880. Any idea what it weighs?

The hydrant is powered by water pressure. Not Electricity. There is likely electricity on your side of the road.

Nope, not me. I don’t have to get fuel directly from them. Matter of fact most of the time I get the fuel from my electric company at my house. I also have them on autopay.

I am done. 2 hours ago i posted about how most people in Maryland dont have drives, garages or private access to electric. It has circled back to just plug into your house. Done, good night guys. Good holidays to yall.

The other part about these electric boats is they are extremely light. Part of the reason they increase the efficiency is because they are prob 25-50% of the weight of traditional gas boats.

I hear you, and would rather you not leave mad. I enjoy conversations like this, because it makes me consider things that I'm not aware of.

I will say that 20 yrs ago, our internet couldn't support streaming by more than a few people. Now it handles it just fine. Progress is a good thing, and hopefully the decision to go electric will be yours and not the governments.
