I hope this is the right place to post, this is scott from vector imaging

Don't worry about falling behind -- take care of yourself first. You'll be really behind if you drop dead from a brain injury.

WEll I just read the entire thread over there and I cannot believe how many people are making fun of the situations that have almost ruined my life. I guess some people never fall on hard times, , oh well, all I can do is work harder get out more work in a more timely fashion if possible and just take the blows that are coming. Yeah, my lead times are all screwed up, but when your told you will get matterial in a week and it turns into 4 what the hell can you do? I have been making panels on my own since 2005, Since then, my problems started about 6 months ago, before that my reputation was outstanding and I plan on getting it back to this. Thanks to all of you who stood by me, it is not easy losing almost everyone you hold dear including your almost freedom. and for the record, they refused to indict me on that gun charge, and as stated, the gun was not even found on my property, but that is neither here nor there, that is only the tip of the ice burg . I would be interested to see if any of those guys making fun of my life could take even half of what I have been through and not end it all, trust me I have thought about it. But I refuse to lose, I will get back on track, I am almost caught up, I ship orders ever day and will untill I am waiting for them to be ordered, this I promise. I have never had it easy in life, and never plan to, all I have is the talent to make nice panels for boats and I will, I always will, and when I am caught up, I want to see how many of those guys will be there so say things as nicely as they said bad when I was down.

Sorry for the rant but I am just crushed right now and had to get this off of my chest.. I refused to cut that guy Mikey's panel until he sent me the battery switch,I only received it Saturday, then almost got killed in a car accident. his panel ships tomorrow. Yeah, I am lazy, a cheat a scammer....

the internet forgive no one, half of the people posting would not dare say such things in person, not because of retribution, just because is it horrible and even the most evil person has more class then that.

Just make sure you get scanned or some kind of medical opinion ASAP. My father had a subdermal hematoma (sp?) (bruise on the brain) that went untreated for too long and things did not go so well for him. If you do have something like that, the sooner you get treatment, the better.

Do not delay, your life is more important than anyone's panel.

To be honest with you guys I am so scared of a trend starting of me not being reliable I am willing to risk my health to make sure that my customers are taken care of. At this point, being able to provide for my family is worth ANYTHING. I know this might sound stupid, and I agree but I will not jeopardize my families well being for anything, if they admit me, I could be in the hospital for a week, imagine what the people who think I am a scammer would do then. I will not risk that at any cost. I know a lot of you believe in me, for 5 years I never missed a deadline and always delivered, I now have to get back to this point and will do anything at any cost. My left eye has lost some level of sight, I know this and my ability to type and speak properly is also been effected, but as long as I can build my panels and get them shipped I will continue, all fyou positive thoughts have made me feel better, they really have, without them, I don't know what I would do, some of you have never even dealt with me professionally but yet you still give me the benifit of the doubt, that makes me feel great and give me the drive to do whatever it takes. No matter what, some day soon everyone will say that you can count on me and that is all that matters.

Scotty - Hey buddy you mentioned you had someone who could cut the piece I was looking for - that is why I asked. I did not think you were doing it.. You can have your guy cut it with a hack saw for all I care, I will put it on another cnc machine and trim it, the size I gave was over the amount I need.

Board members - someone said I was not compassionate. Hardly - I thought someone else was doing this work and I made it dead nuts simple so anyone could do it. I get Scott is banged up and will continue to support his business I just need to make what I need fit his business right now. I am a small business owner and I want him to have the revenue. I get small business.

I've been a bit distracted lately and haven't been on the site much for the past several months.

Can't believe this thread.

Let me say this:

Scott, after seeing some of your work on this site a long time ago, I recommended you to a very close, lifelong friend who needed a lot of intricate work. It was complicated and full of lengthy instructions. The work you returned was absolutely FLAWLESS and EXACTLY as requested. I have been around enough to appreciate the rarity of that caliber of work. My friend commented on how easy you were to work with, and that it was clear you took pride in your product.

Incidentally, that friend I recommended to you has been through a similar situation with the law. Watching him go through it has had a profound impact on my understanding of the justice system. It has left me with a sense of fear due to my understanding of how vulnerable we all are to crooked and/or incompetent law enforcement and judges.

Best of luck to you. The folks here are a pretty discerning bunch. I think it is clear you have our support and confidence. You can take that to the bank. Literally.

The panel you made for me looks as good as it did the day it was installed. I've recommended you before and will continue to do so. Nobody wants a faded dash and the panel you made for my boat still looks great several years after install.

It's easy to doubt someone over the internet, but for what its worth, I have had nothing but positive dealings with Scott. Here is a photo of the panel he did for me. I will post a current one asap. It still looks great.

Scott,
This is foolish. I am in the Medical field and you could have something very serious. How do you think your family will be affected if you are dead??
And how about all of those tools calling you unreliable now? What do you think they will say when you die and don't get those last couple projects out? You won't even be here to defend yourself. This may sound harsh but, this is reality.

Take care of yourself and everything else will work itself out!!!

Go to the Doctor!!!!!

Went tot he doctors finally and they drained the blood/fluid from behinf some nerve in my head, I can see a little better but I have my focus back. unfortunately I have a few non customers over at THT hacking on my as if what I have been though they could handle with a smile and a coke, For the most part a lot of people have been there for me, but there is always a few who swear they can survive anything and that Iam just complaining. Oh well, I think I have said my peace, and to be honest, I am just too tired trying to defend myself. I am just working, shipping every day, getting caught up,and trying o life a decent life. to hell with what strangers, who where never customers of mine, mind you have to say about me.

Thanks to you all but there is teh update,t hey fixed me up pretty good, I have been at it since 4 this morning and I am just really tired, I need to take a nap. thanks again guys.

OK, I have withheld comment until now because I had not received my final panel from Scott. I received the panel last Thursday and installed it this weekend.

I contacted Scott in December about making a custom panel to house a new VHF Radio but also have a blanked off gauge cutout for a future Merc Monitor. My goal was to make the most of the little amount of space us 280DA owners have at the helm for “extras”. Scott and I went back and forth about what the panel should look like and I had emailed him some pictures of the helm holding up a tape measure. He completed the final drawing and sent it to me to measure. I approved what turned out being a simple but effective design. During this time he had some complications that have already been discussed here. After these issues were resolved I received my initial panel in late January.

I received my first panel in January and the blank for the gauge was missing and probably fell out of the box as it had some damage. I also noticed that I had been too conservative with one the measurements and discovered the panel was going to barely fit the gauge and still look “correct”. After some discussions with Scott, and even though I had approved the design before he cut and shipped the panel, he insisted on re-cutting the entire panel, adding a half inch to the side, free of charge.

I installed the new radio and panel over the weekend and I think it looks great. I will post some pics of it in the next few days. The quality was very high and attention to detail was right on.

I just wanted to post my experience with Scott since there has been so much discussion about him here. Yes, there were some communication problems and yes, the panel was not done when he originally promised but he followed through on everything and even went the extra mile to re-cut the panel when I had approved the measurements he came up with.

For what it is worth, I contacted two of the other popular panel makers for a quote (no names mentioned). One of them I talked with initially and then could never get them to call me back and the other one that guarantees “no more than 24 hour contact” on their website never even replied to my detailed inquiry. So, Scott may have some communication issues going on right now but he is not the only one.

Bottom line, many have recommended him before me and I would recommend him as well now. As others have said his turnaround is not extremely quick but his dedication and quality seem to be right on.

I want to see the pics! I might need him to make me some panels! I sure would like a place for my new GPS:thumbsup:

I recieved my newly cut panels for a 98 330DA.
One look.. Far and away superior to anything you will ever get from any Mfg.

There in it to save money and profit as much as they can period.

Most probaly put the same garbage to date.

Vector had some issues that delayed the cutting and shipping. But as I and everyone that I have ever known has never had any personal or private issues to deal with, that i would rather not share. Scott did.

I wasnt quite sure if I needed the new panels in february as I'm in the northeast, slightly cold for install. Really didnt need them anyway. But they will take some time to install

When I asked to wratchet up production to get my panels cut and shipped for install for March 19th, he made it happen and got it done.

Nothing but good things to say, superior product, always in touch with end user when you need him.

As I look at what was shipped, I dont need to view the original to know....best deal you'll ever get to clean up original sub-standard that the factory sold you, regardless of year.

Thank Scott, or pay 3 or 4 times to get another P.O.S. from Mfg. or competitor that never returns calls.

NO issue with Vector Imaging.

Thankyou Scott.

My cousin just bought a 320DA and needs to replace the panel on the port side of the helm that held the Raymarine plotter as he is changing it out for a Garmin unit. He's made a cad drawing of the pattern. We can either get it cut here if you can sell the sheet of material that matches the burl pattern or send the pattern to you to cut?

What is your turn~around time? What do you suggest
Todd
