Marina Flyover

You and I are going to do an off-schedule photo shoot together next time I'm through brother man....that's pretty cool and what a beautiful place to live.

+1 on the long docks... That must take forever to load the boat for a trip.

I walk that pier 3 to 4 times a day and I am not even a live aboard. I am always working on something on the boat.

Looks great! I got a drone for christmas and have been practicing around the house. I can't wait to get some boat shots!

Very cool. Keep thinking we must get a drone too, don't know if we could do as good as that though:)

Is it an optical illusion, or is the drone really that far out, its a nice vid, and, pretty quaint marina, but, I am not sure I would be too comfortable sending my $1K+ drone out that far above water :)

I was thinking the same thing; the range looked pretty impressive. In terms of losing signal- they have a GPS and return "home" when they go out of range and/or battery goes low. I have been looking at a DJI, which seems to be best in breed for average hobby guy.

OP - What set do you have on the drone? DJI?

Saw your boat Wednesday, passing thru on mquiets new 480 Sedan. Beautiful area to boat.

Looking at the transmitter I am guessing it's a DJI phantom, not sure if it's the 2 with the gimbal camera or not, but the video quality is great!!. I have a parrot AR drone that I am going to try using this season for some boating vids.

What kind of drone are you using , brand type cost??? I'm thinking about getting one but I don't know anything about them .

Boltman
Google 3dRobotics Iris+ if you're looking for a nice quadcopter (I refuse to call them drones.) I haven't looked at DJI's stuff in a long time so they may have some of these features as well now, but the Iris has a follow me option, really nice mission planning, fully automated flights from takeoff thru landing, etc...

It wasn't my drone. I don't have one. A guest of the house at the marina that day brought it with him.
