Presidential Candidates

D.C. public schools brought in Michelle Rhee and the Union went nuts. She started making real progress fixing the school system by removing under performing teachers and better oversight.

They couldn't have that!

She ended up leaving because of the corrupt mayor Vincent Grey who beat the incumbent Adrian Fenty with an extremely corrupt political campaign.

Now they have been covering up bedbug and rodent infestations.

Teachers unions deserve a good amount of the blame for the sorry state of education in our country. They spend a ton in PAC money to keep their stranglehold on schools.
What they're money doesn't buy they achieve with scare tactics warning concerned parents that any changes will irreparably harm their children.
Unions are a tough call. They're a necesssary evil in many cases because of the protection they afford their members but sometimes they get too powerful and go to far.

Ah yes, the old 'he doesn't know anything that's why they made him the boss' argument .....yep, the workers always know more than the management.

Right hand to God, the worst manager that I ever had was an MIT grad. Brilliant engineer I worked side by side with for 3 years. Regretfully, had the people and project management skills of a rock. More than deserving of the promotion. Just was not cut out for the management end of it. It does happen.

The funny thing is that I don't even have a degree (unless you consider the School of Hard Knocks legit), and I manage people with a masters from Berkeley and another MIT grad with a masters from Colorado State. It is only a piece of paper that proves you know how to learn. Soooooo many with a specialized degree have employment related to their degree. All I know is they look to me for advice and it's kind of a cool feeling.

I do. Riddle me this; why did so many of the most successful business billionaires not have a sheepskin until they got one, many times honorary, after success in the "school of hard knocks"?????

Yawn.......

Probably the same lake where they find people who riot, loot and burn things down when they dont get their way.

Might be time to give it a rest Bill.
If you look at the responses, you most are definitely in a minority on CSR.
