After seeing photos of empty stadiums across the country and hearing about ratings falling I wanted to see how attendance or viewing has changed for CSR members. For me I have watched 3 games this year, none involving the Colts. I have also turned down free tickets a couple of times and that doesn't include my friends that just know not to ask.

It is SOOOO much fun to be an Eagles fan this year!!! EVERYTHING about the team is good. That said, I still get conflicts now and then that keep me from watching the games.

So sad to be a Cowboys fan this year!!!!!

Dreading reading the score after this upcoming weekend.

I'm an (was) NFL junkie. I read about the NFL 365 days a year, participate in multiple fantasy leagues, commissioner of my work league, etc. I haven't watched a single minute since week 3. The sum total of my week 3 watching was the last 30 minutes of the Bengals/Packers overtime game.

The inmates are running the asylum. The owners are afraid of the players. This shit could have been nipped in the bud over a year ago, but the liberals running the league office have no balls and let Political Correctness guide their decision making.

How must it feel to be a Giants fan?
ok - point taken....

Misery loves company. The whole Zeke thing - fighting it in the courts - was a bad strategy. The toughest part of the season on the Cowboy's schedule is the last half.

Read this week if the Cowboys do not win against Philly this weekend (cough cough - yeah like that is going to happen) they are out of the playoffs.

Well let's just say protesting the NFL has been a lot easier being a Giants fan. It would be killing me not to watch if they had a good team this season. Glad I'm not an Eagles fan right now, as I don't think I would have the will power not to watch them play....

And yet I have an internal conflict about boycotting the NFL as the leftists have long wanted to kill this bastion of masculinity, hard work=reward of success, and capitalism.

Once I saw how the season was going to go, I havent tuned in since the preseason. Still followup with the scores and news, but im not going to be counted a viewer. Ive become a NASCAR fan again.

Like I said in voted with my wallet, screw the NFL I wish they would go bankrupt, will never watch it again, haven't watched a single minute since beginning of year and haven't missed it at all...........

Giants are making it real easy to do something else on Sunday, however, I am still going to Oakland for the game in 3 weeks.. I purchased the tickets and airfare back in may after schedule came out.

Read tonight that the NFL might go after Jerry Jones - force a sale of the franchise.

Such a drama fest. I am solid in college football. NFL is take it or leave it....

I have been a NFL junkie since my first game in 1965. About 5 or so years ago I started tapering off. Now, I don't really watch it at all. For me, it has nothing to do with the players. I have no issue with the kneeling thing and don't find it disrespectful at all. Just another peaceful way for a group to raise awareness about something they find important (and its not about bringing attention to themselves - for those of you who think they are spoiled brats). For me, the changes in the administration of the actual game have made it totally unwatchable. Rules that change based on the time elapsed in the game. Rules implemented to prevent a one in a million "problem". Penalty flag after penalty flag. Official reviews that take forever. Officials conferring to discuss even the simplest and most obvious penalty. And, way too many games on TV. Thursday, Sunday at 1, Sunday at 4:30, Sunday night, Monday night. Sometimes Sunday morning overseas. Not a special event anymore. Just another TV show.

I was a rabid NFL fan until they started with this crap of taking a knee.

Now I'm voting with my wallet. Not watching, not buying any NFL gear, don't really care.

I am not disputing that they have a cause to protest over. I give 'em that. But IMHO they chose the wrong time to protest. Had they knelt for a minute before the national anthem then stood for the anthem I'd still be a rabid fan.

Now, nope. They disrespected my flag, my anthem and my country. FUGGEM.

It tickles the hell out of me to see empty seats in the stadiums. The only way to get the attention of the team owners and the NFL itself is to vote with my wallet.

As a Patriots fan it's hard to not watch. They are still the most talented, best coached and best quarterbacked team year after year. Goodell had the chance to nip this kneeling BS in the bud last year and screwed it up just like he screwed up deflategate. He should be fired instead of given a new contract with a raise.

Tried watching Monday Night Football tonight but couldn't stand watching halfway thru the first quarter. I think the morons are more focused on kneeling than they are playing football.

Same here. Much easier not watching this year being a Giants fan since they hardly broadcast the games down here.

The numbers are staggering, 82% at this time in the poll watch way less or quit watching at all. No wonder no one started a football thread on CSR this year. In February of 2016 the football thread was 890 posts, 2017 saw just 59, and no thread this year. That prompted me to ask this question. The proof is in the pudding...

I watch the about the same. I have had Panthers PSLs since 1995 and go to almost every home game. Great game last night on MNF!
