have not had my boat out of water yet, need to know if I have a height problem, going to get a lowboy for transportation. Do I need to remove the arch?

Most likely, yes. But it depends on your carrier and their route to wherever you're going. If it's a short enough route that has no bridges or low overhead wires, then you might not have to. Best thing is to talk with them with your dimensions in hand.

Not sure how low your low boy is, but my keel is 12” off the asphalt on a torsion axle trailer and the top of my Glomex antenna is 14’ 2”. That’s a 2009 310. 14’ is min guaranteed clearance on state and federal roads—-most are at least 14’ 6”. Local roadways are a gamble. Tree limbs don’t follow the rules. Hope this helps...

I see you're in Brigantine. I keep my boat in Atlantic City. I had my old 2001 310 Sundancer trailered into AC when I bought it on a low boy. It barely made it under the traffic lights. Where are you trailering it from and to?

Hello neighbor, i am loading it in Steward Fla and bringing it to the AC marina off the black horse pike. I am going to have the marina pull the boat next week just to see what i got. Going to make the trip in May. I am using a boat moving company and was told most sea rays were built to haul. Hoping they are right. You over in the nugget see the Coast guard building in the background.

Thanks for the info, I dont know the size of the trailer getting a moving company for that. Im going to pull it next weekend just to take a look and see what the height overall is.

Good eye...yep, I'm at the Nugget. For a long trip like that, I'm sure the hauling company will require the arch removed. Better safe than sorry.

If you have a hauler moving it, he will want to know the height. He will get his permits for each state based on the height. Some will not haul over certain height. Depending on the hauler, 14-15’ is not too tall. Your best bet is what Dennis says above to look in your manual on the dimensions page and get the height from the keel to the top of the arch. You likely can just remove the electronics on the arch and leave the arch intact.

Anything over 13'6" will be over height in most states in the Northeast, we have a lot of older low bridges. I tow my 89 300DA from PA to DE twice a year and on a triple axle aluminum trailer and from the top of the GPS antenna on my arch I'm 12'8" so permits are only needed for width. If you go over 13'6" you may need over height permits also and they will most certainly route you to avoid low clearances. Best bet is to consult with hauler and get his input after you know how tall you are without any trailer under her. A drop deck trailer will keep the keel fairly low so you may get by. Again, talk to your hauler.
