  • I have a 1996 Sundancer 300 and have found that when it rains, water enters through the bilge side vents into the bilge. Does anyone know if there is a fix like a deflector of some sort or an aftermarket vent cover that can be purchased?
I'm not new to boating, just new to Sea Ray. I purchased a very clean 1996 300 Sundancer Fall 2011 and so far so good. Had a great first season, even though there was some maintenance that needed addressing for the 15 year old girl. I replaced water heater thermostat, re-wired & installed a by-pass, rebuilt the head pump, serviced the sump pump, replaced the windlass motor, a good friend rebuilt my gen set raw water pump, replaced seals, water tubes, impellers & zincs on the out drives, replaced all 4 exhaust flappers, replaced the carbon in the holding tank filter and replaced all 12V incandescent light bulbs w/ LED's. I also own a 2004 Yamaha FX160 HO that I bought new. My first boat was a Maxim 240SCR, that I co-owned w/ my brother.
