    Thermostat Gauge Stopped Working

Quick question - heading back up to the cottage this week and going to mess around with this. I think I got this right: - brass sensor on the starboard side is the temp sending unit to the gauge - stainless steel sensor on the port side (with red tape) is the warning gauge/alarm ?? I need...

    Thermostat Gauge Stopped Working

I'm a rookie, and somewhat of a youtube handyman, so a couple of questions: it's a 1994 5.7 Merc Alpha One - 1) to check the sensor ground to see if it's the gauge - where is the sensor? is it the one with red near the tip? (on the right side looking down at it) It looks there are 2...

Tach issue (reading when engine off)

Actually I was reading online and I think it reads at the last RMP you shut the engine off.....if you turn key to battery only, then turn it off, it goes back to zero. I'm considered a rookie, so once I get back to my boat I'll see if this works......all shrink-wrapped for now.

Tach issue (reading when engine off)

I noticed this on mine. When the engine is off, it shows 1,000 rpm. Looking at pictures online, it seems a lot of boats from the 90s have this same issue. Is this fixable, or is it probably faulty (which is fine)....just didn't know if there's a quick fix.

Gas Tank Depth (Fuel Sending Unit)

My fuel sending unit is bouncing my fuel gauge about 1/4 tank each way at times, so it's on the fritz. That being said, I need to get a new one, but due to my oversight, the boat's been shrinked for the winter, and I never got around to figuring out the depth of the tank. It's a 1994 220...

    Boat Cover Material

I have a 94 220BR, and the (2) covers are still in good shape. I want to make a second pair (winter project that probably won't get done anyway), and was wondering what material was used for the original covers? I bought an aftermarket whole-boat cover just to have for piece-of-mind. This was...

    94 220 BR - BATTERY - Help

Agree, 2 batteries are ideal, but logistics and time get in the way......I'll see how this works out for now....appreciate the feedback

    94 220 BR - BATTERY - Help

newer boater - getting mixed answers. Have a 22 ft bowrider - ride it once a week each month for about 5 months (in an adjacent state)......battery is dead, was a newer starting batter with good charge beginning of week. It lost crank by weeks-end, so while it was newer, I wanted something...
