What has kept me from deleting my Facebook account are the “pages” I like to follow that mimic these forums but seem to have much more traffic and near instant responses. I follow things like Sea Ray boats, local lake information and some other hobbies. I could really care less about friends...
Ha! I operate the same way. I’ve been researching DP models for the past couple years. Probably a couple few years away from owning but I suspect at that point it’s going to be a 2-3 year old unit so maybe one that is just now being built. They are selling like hot cakes now so maybe by then...
There is no comparison between a diesel pusher and V10 gas powered Class A. The gas ones are loud, have very little towing capacity and the structure provides for a very rough and unsteady ride. A diesel pusher with air suspension is just the opposite. But while you may get a “nice” Class A...
I saw one posted on the Sea Ray Owners page on Facebook. It was a Loadmaster steel. It was a helluva deal at $8000 and designed to hold up to a 34 Sundancer.
Yeah, I've been ok not having the dash switches attached. Using the foot pedals is more convenient because you can watch if the rode gets bound up or stops feeding. Shouldn't be as hard because you won't have to remove interior stuff. I had to pull the microwave and some cabin panels. There...
I have a 290 ss so not entirely the same but I added a windlass where it was a factory option but not installed. There was no additional support under the decking from what I learned and has worked flawlessly for a couple years. Wiring can be a bitch and I had to use some marine board to cover...
Saw your FB post. Looks great. I had to run wire the same way you did on my old 290DA when I put a sub under the helm seat and had the amps in the panel closet.
Just had this same issue on my boat. Ended up letting a local dealer pull the hatch, clean it up and re-seal it. Cost was about $275 and is now water tight again. I saw video on youtube of someone doing it. doesn't look difficult.
May I ask how you even put a value on something like this in order to make a purchase when it's impossible to tell whether that boat is better off on the scrap heap or is actually fixable? Heck, you may be paying him to haul his junk away which might be all he's looking for.
I just added this this weekend. Hoping with out pretty clear lake water is stays clean. Otherwise I’m really happy with how it turned. Sure beats the dirty swimplatform.
