    Quick release chocks

I know this is an old string, but I wanted to update it. I ran into a guy last week who invented the solution! Check out Quickchocks.com. Heads-up...Your browser will try to correct it to quickchecks.

    Galley Sink Faucet Question

Cleaning my faucet screen is a Spring commissioning task. The stuff comes from the hot water heater. I strongly suspect some "stuff" has found it's way into the guts of faucet workings. Does anyone know if there is a zinc anode in the hot water heater? If so, has anyone replaced it?

Thanks for the tip. Mine has done the same thing and wondered if I could just file them down.

I replaced my galley fridge with the Vitrifrigo. Super quiet, unlike the Norcold. Get's very cold too. We LOVE it. Duel power (12/24Vdc - 100-240Vac 50/60Hz). I never thought I'd buy anything Italian for the boat, but this unit is quiet and the freezer compartment is larger. Double...

I use "divers dream" size. I've always used zinc (Chesapeake Bay), but more envrio friendly folks are starting to use Aluminum, especially in more fresh water. But do your research. However, either are less noble than anything on your running gear.

Exactly, so you don't see it. We keep a basket on top and just remove it when we're using the oven...which is rare these days.

Someone else told me that too, but when I pulled the microwave I did not see a vent inlet located even near that space. Maybe my boat was setup differently.

If you go this route, a hint: only remove the screws on the sides. The top panel (with the adjustment screw) is screwed into the fridge proper and comes out with the fridge. (lesson learned).

I've had to replace my Microwave as well. A couple things to note: 1) It's plugged in, so the plug may have come loose. 2) When you use the convection mode it gets HOT. to better vent the heat, I had to jigsaw an additional 5x8 vent hole in the top. Used a small, but sturdy, black A/C...
