97 Searayder F16XR jetboat.
Started out as a weekend boat for me and girlfriend to have fun.
The mechanics have more fun.
Good
When it actually works: lots of fun.
Bad: parts are scarce, hard to find other people who own them as well to compare notes .
2 weeks ago, started a carburetor...
After getting all my carbs installed. I missing something. The hose for the auto enricher. And, there also a small place on the top carb where a hose is supposed to go. I noticed that after squeezing the primer bulb, gas started leaking out of the first carb
Does anyone know where these hoses...
I don't want to throw in the towel. During the time of the "frustrating " spring moment, and calling all over the place, and nobody had it or had no ideal where to get it. It wasn't looking to good.
So after I cleared my head, I got it done. I'm just glad I did. Because if it was actually...
I just finished cleaning, soaking all 3 carbs, and installing new carb gaskets. During that ordeal, one of the carbs throttle spring was deformed and not letting me finish the last carb. After 3 hours on that last carb getting very frustrated.
I gave up. Started calling around, looking on...
That's what I'm trying to figure out. I'm not in front of the boat right now.
If it's down, is it in a auto mode, then if you turn it on, it supposed to kick on and start sucking water out?
Confused. Lol
Wouldn't have mattered that one day when I 4 inches of water, the fuse was blown...
Update: took it out yesterday. After replacing the 2 drain plugs. No water problems this time. Well, very little in the bottom, which I'm assuming in normal. Darn it, I didn't turn on the bilige pump switch when I was driving. Ugh. Next time.
It had a fuse under the dash marked " bilige pump". I replaced it. After hitting the switch, I don't hear anything. Do, that's why I was wondering if it only works when water starts rising to a certain level.
Thank you. I will look into it.
When I hit the switch on the panel, I don't hear the pump making any sounds, so that why I was wondering.
Maybe, I can take to the local car wash, fill it up a few inches, and see what happens.
I need the basics here. I have a 97 Searay jetboat. About 2 weeks ago, it took on water.
I found 1 of the drain plugs we're stripped out.
And, the fuse for the bilige pump was blown. I replaced the fuse. Sitting the trailer, when you hit the switch, should you hear the bilige pump kick in...
Kind of a new boater (2nd season) with this boat. Been towed into shore a few times already. Anyways. Yesterday, I had to get towed in again. I'll break it down quick .
1) Fill up with gas, turn key, ( beeps 1x), starts no problem.
2) Get to boat dock. Turn key , beeps 1x, starts,we go about...
I have the same boat. This is my 2nd season. Currently having a issue myself. Hopefully, we will be able to help each other out.
Did you find the electrical manual?
