Hi Rick:

I assume you are talking about removing all the vinyl padding overhead in the aft cabin? I did not have to do this as I just removed the port seating cushions and ran cables down the side of the boat from the stereo area. I then went into the engine area from behind the sink area, across the bulkhead and back into the starboard cabin area. I removed the helm pocket and could reach back into the void area. You may have to drill a hole through one of the support stringers on the starboard side. I hope this helps.

Hi, I'm trying to install a new stereo in my 260 and I cannot figure out how to disassemble the cabinet that holds the stereo and the power panel. The stereo I purchased requires a slightly larger hole and the remote cable is different so I need to run the new cable to the helm. If you removed this panel and cabinet I would appreciate any help you could provide. Pictures or video would be great. Sea Ray does a great job making their interior look clean but it sure is a pain to try and figure out how to disassemble it.
