One of our favorite marinas is Poulsbo and of the options you listed would be the most fun for teenagers. Was not aware of a change in their power system - we go there a least three times a season. Call ahead for a reservation but mid week you shouldn't have any problem getting a slip.
Good luck Sandy! I'm following along as usual. I know what it feels like to have the same problem over and over again. We've had much better luck with our 420, although who knows when the next weird problem will arise.
Thanks for the recap and the photos. I recognize the Sea Ray (Current Sea) in the Victoria Harbor photo - they're from our marina. If you would have been at Roche Harbor from July 14 to 17 you would have seen lot of Sea Rays there for the annual LUSR Rendezvous, including ours and Lina Lina...
I know Sandy and her boat so I would definitely take her advice. Also I spoke with an owner of a newish 470 (2015 model?) at our local SR rendezvous in July and he says the same as Sandy, and loves the pods.
We bought our current SR 420 DA in November 2015 and it was already documented, but the surveyor pointed out the PO had never installed the documentation numbers as required. During the purchase process our broker handled the paperwork to transfer the CG documentation to our name, and the CG...
We went through the exact same considerations when we owned our 2003 360 DA, which we owned for 5 years (also our first boat). We really liked the boat but it needed some improvements, especially with electronics. BTW I think if you keep your boat and do upgrades, your estimate for electronics...
Not to be a contrarian, but I'm not sure your number board complies with the USCG requirements since it's not attached to an "interior structural part of the hull". Maybe the cockpit is considered part of the hull. When I researched this years go before installing the CG numbers on our 360DA, I...
PS there is a newer thread on 360s (Calling all 360 owners) that I started 6 years ago -you should check it out because there's lot of information about the 360. At one time I believe there were around 12 to 15 360 owners contributing to that thread. Many of them have moved up to larger oats...
You should check your coupler bolts for correct torqueing. Ours came loose (twice) and on CSR I read of other instances where coupler bolts came loose and then sheared off.
Section 2 of my owner's manual for our 2004 SR 420 DA has all of the dimensions. I believe these manuals are available for most years and models from the Sea Ray site
We are rafted with friends this weekend that just painted their 19 year old dinghy - I think they used something called tuff skin or something like that. It is gray and looks brand new. I'll find out exactly what they used and post it here.
