    Laguna 24 CC Transom Question

Not familiar with the plate, or known transom issues on this model. However, FWIW, I had a 1995 24CC Laguna with twin 200 mercs and never had any issues with the transom. I know that's a lot more weight than you've got with the 135's, so I wouldn't worry about much if you've got no reason to...

    TV problems 2006 320da

That makes sense. I honestly never thought of that. I assumed it was a generic ota converter. I'll look into that. Thanks!

    She's got a new name!

Lucky is my nickname and has been since I was a kid. It's also been part of my boat name for the last 5 or so. However, it was time for a change. My girlfriend and I have become huge fans of the show "The Walking Dead" and, we also both happen to be in the death care industry. So, this name...

    TV problems 2006 320da

Thanks! I don't remember seeing a breaker for the glomex, but I'll check it out. I know there's a small box attached to the headliner right at the TV that appears to be a converter, but that may not be working either. Power light comes on but it doesn't seem to do anything else. I'll look...

    TV problems 2006 320da

Afternoon all! So far, things are going great with the new boat. Learning a lot and taking care of little things here and there to make her as perfect as possible. Only thing that's giving me a constant nightmare is the tv's/dvd players. Neither dvd player works, which isn't a big deal. I...

No, unfortunately it was craigslist. I use CL a ton but this is the first time I've been burned by it.

At least I wasn't "alone" on the trip. Thanks again!

    It's official, got her home!!

I was pushing harder than I normally would be, but was trying (unsuccessfully) to beat the darkness as I wanted to get to the new slip with daylight. All worked out, though. Backed her in perfectly on the first attempt in total darkness.

    It's official, got her home!!

Not bad considering. Boat had between quarter and half in both tanks when I took ownership. Marine fuel in Miami was $5/gal (go figure, $3.50 at my home marina!) so it cost me exactly $600 to fill up. I ended with the same amount of fuel, between quarter and half....well, I guess a little...

    It's official, got her home!!

I was comfortable running the boat. Just simply time/scheduling and convenience, I just wanted it delivered to me.

    It's official, got her home!!

I feel like it was some kind of scam, but I haven't figured out what yet, since I gave him no payment info. Maybe he thought it was a good way to steal a boat since I wasn't gonna be there, but got cold feet.....

    It's official, got her home!!

Thank you! I agree, which is why I wanted it transported. But I had such a bad feeling when this guy lied to me that I just wanted to get her home. Luckily, the ocean was 2-3' with a following sea so I was able to run the entire trip on plane. Otherwise, I would've had to camp out somewhere...

Thanks for reminding me I need to get that standing up!! You live in a beautiful area for sure!

    It's official, got her home!!

Well, it didn't go exactly according to plan, but got her home! The trip from Key Biscayne to my home port was 119 miles. I didn't want to do that distance for my first cruise so I had contacted a hauler to transport for me. I never gave him any payment or payment info (luckily) as it was...
