Help: Getting set up for cooking and coffee, at marina and underway (270 SDA)

If you are a scrabbled egg purist that prefers only straight egg and cooked to order you are going to be limited to some of the ideas presented above. I am not so here are my "pre-cooked" gotos for eggs that I prefer over egg only 1) Scrabbled egg casserole, pre cooked in the oven with bacon...

I hung a friend from his feet, head first, from a fork lift to get to the bilge pump on an early 90s sundancer once.....

Lake Powell Prop Pitch on twin engine cruisers

The common practice at Lake Powell with sportier boats is to lower the pitch to deal with the extra elevation at Lake Powell. Does that hold up with twin engine cruisers also, like a Sundancer 290 with 5.7L mercruisers? Anyone have any experience with Powell in this regard. I figure fully...

    Official (1998-2002) 310 Sundancer Thread

On the two batteries that are wired together for starboard/house/generator, how to you ensure that if the batteries are drained you can still start the generator? Can you set the battery selector or some other method where overnight, you would only run down one of the batteries for house power...

    Slippery swim platform

I don't anymore, but the regular sunscreens are still bound to end up all over the place with nearly naked bodies covered in lotions. Arizona sun will burn you in about 20 minutes without them... We are in the 80s now with 90s on the forecast next week.

    Slippery swim platform

Its not the swimstep, its the greasy sunscreen that people have all over them when they sit/lay back there. They get in and out of the water all lubed up and it makes it super slippery back there. The spray on sunscreens are the worse because they go every where with a thin sheen of...

    Official 290 Sundancer Thread

That is not my boat. It’s a picture from the swim step manufacture of a 2006 sundancer. Several boats in my marina have them since it’s a local company.

While it is not OEM. This aftermarket makes a really nice swimstep that most people would not recognized as not factory.. http://www.swimplatforms.com/showImages.php?mk=367

Hardwood floor in cabin - anyone know a contractor in Long Island, NY?

I did teak and caulk in my runabout/tender. I started with a rough beam of material and planed and sliced it into 2 1/4 by 1/8 thick strips. I was working in an open boat with all the interior removed from inside a closed shop. I lost track of hours long after I hit the 100 hour mark. I...

Official 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 290 Thread

I might have removed the bottom seat cushion, but that would have been it. I don't think I fully removed the gunwale insert. I was able to work around it all. I had to do the same thing when I replaced my marine radio antenna. I don't remember how I got the part numbers, I either got them...

Official 1998 Sea Ray Sundancer 290 Thread

What happened to mine is that the cables got stiff and then that caused the control to get weird. I replaced the cables and which was pretty straight forward. I opened up the gunwale insert that holds the whole controller assembly during the process. That allowed me to fully service the...

    Shore power 120 v guage

my sundancer is on the trailer. I unplugged the shore power for 5 days. When I plugged it back in the gauge didn't come up to 120v but I had 120v at the outlets etc. I came back about 6 hours later and now it's reading 80v? Shouldn't the voltage be 120 as soon as it's plugged in? Batteries...
