    Bottom Paint

I have used CSC Micron and have only painted it once in the 5 years we have owned it. I do touch it up and do the waterline but that is it. The bottom stays really clean but about 6" on the side gets some slime on it. I try to clean it a few times a year by scrubbing in the water. I noticed...

Thanks radscoot. I will when I get back to the boat next week.

    Battery voltage fluctuation

I bought two new port side engine batteries three weeks ago as I was prepping the boat to get put in. I did not run hardly anything on these batteries before the boat went in. After it was dropped in the water, I went to start the port engine and it would barely turn over. That day I finally...

    Windshield wiper rubber boots

The rubber boots that cover the bolt/nut for the windshield wiper on our 420 is deteriorating and staining the top deck. I am going to replace them. Does anyone know where to purchase new boots? Thanks.4

    420 DA Thread

Hello Nick- my top step is loose and I thought it was secured with screws. Did you take your step off and can you give me any advice on how to tighten the step? It seems like I might be able to fit short shims (less than 1” long) in the front of the step but not sure if that is the best solution

    420 DA flip down tv

Unfortunately, I did not. I pulled the trim off and can see the cylinder but no way to get my hands on it. It looked liked the cylinder was bad. Seems like a winter project.

    420 DA Thread

Thanks for your reply. The light inside and the display did not work. That is what made me think it might be a fuse. Is there an internal fuse other than the circuit breaker? I thought the electrical schematic showed a 10 amp fuse?

    420 DA Thread

Our microwave stopped working after we continuously used the microwave for about 30 minutes the other night. The breaker was not tripped so I assume I either blew a fuse or burned up the microwave. Is there a fuse and if so where is it? Any other ideas? If I need to pull the microwave has...

    420 DA flip down tv

The flip down tv in our 420 started making some clunking noises as it got close to being shut and after shutting. When we try to activate it to close, it seems like the motor to drive it up starts but doesnt engage the tv to close. After a few seconds it engages and goes up but then clunks at...

    Bilge pump wiring

Ok, now is the time to put my tail between my legs and tell you that I found the circuit breaker tripped. I did not have time to put the wiring all back together tonight but will try to get to tomorrow. Thanks for everyone's input!

    Bilge pump wiring

I am going to try to get to the boat this afternoon. When I checked the voltage yesterday on the hot wire it was way low. An electronics guy I talk to thought the best place to start would be the circuit breaker. Would the inline breaker be at the main DC breaker panel in the bilge? And do...

    Bilge pump wiring

Thanks, I did wonder about that. I cut the ground wire at the butt connector that I put on and touched the pump ground to a grounded screw while the hot wire was on the pump brown wire and got nothing. I figured I would get something if I was touching a grounded screw/wire. Maybe I will try...

    Bilge pump wiring

I replaced my three bilge pumps and floats this weekend. The first two work fine but the aft bilge pump will not work. I wired black pump to black ground wire, the larger brown wire with the red stripe to grey (float switch), and two brown wires to grey (other float switch wire) and to brown...
