    1989 300WE Batteries & Charging

A piece of advise Whenever doing any type of electrical repair, make sure you are doing it with good quality MARINE GRADE cables, connectors, and components. I know that going to the parts store and buying those cheap assortments that are not even automotive grade is tempting.

    1989 300WE Batteries & Charging

When the battery selector and battery on/off switches are off, all the batteries are independent, bank 1 engine 1 , bank 2 engine 2, and house. That is how it should be when charging at the dock. When you turn the switch on/off, you connect the house battery to whatever battery bank you chose...

Fresh water to Salt Water mods

I would recommend the full cooling system, you’ll only need to replace the risers every 5 years. Also replace the manifolds with the new style, dry joint. Sierra brand or Mercruiser if you have the extra cash GLM, in my opinion are not good. Your risk on those, but had one that was porous and it...

More than likely your joystick is faulty, bad contacts. Move it in all directions several times, disconnect the batteries, not just switching the main battey switches. But disconnecting the grounds at the batteries for about a minute. This might erase the codes and see if it works. If it does...

    Step down bilge pump hose

All bilge bases are usually strapped every 12 inches with ringed tie straps, and some of those straps hold 50 pounds each. Also when a hose goes through a limber hole it is stiliconed in.

    1987 340 Sundancer stern seating

Here are the pics of the rear seat. You’ll need piano hinges made of stainless steel, Garelick swing legs and stainless steel screws. You could uses King Starboard or Marine wood. But I would recommend drawing it out and using cheap wood to make the initial template. Once you are done have an...

    1987 340 Sundancer stern seating

Why don’t you put the fold out seat that came with the 300 series boats.? You get the best of both worlds, the space needed when not in use with out compromising seating.

    300 weekender project

Once I took the interior apart, my wife and I sanded all the Wood including the tambour doors, stained and sprayed them with Minwax Since I not only wanted the boat for family outings, I wanted to use it for fishing. I found the front seats and recovered to match, and had to figure out how to...
