Been off the forum for a while after selling out 370AC. On the hunt for something a little smaller. Looking at an 05 270 Amberjack - just wondering if that single has enough ponies in it. I'm waiting on more pictures from the broker to confirm it's a 5.0 I would have thought it's a 350(5.7)...
So it looks like a deal is closing on my boat and I feel kinda sad. I put a TON of work into her and now she's a strong healthy girl. While we were heading back to port during the sea trial I was standing at the helm completely engulfed in the pure joy of being on the water. It was was as...
So I had a honda style inverter generator with remote start that has been sitting in the garage for a few years untouched. decided to make some room for some new wood working equipment so put it up for sale. Guy came out last night and decided to buy it. he then told me his plans which made...
wow, what a horrible thing. I had a trip planned to go there last week but got rescheduled at the last minute. Glad for that because that would have made 2 boating deaths in 2 trips - probably would have stopped boating for a while.
If I had it to do over again I would take a little more time on making the template. I would still use the same product and still keep the look with out the border. There is shrinkage after the install so any border you put on will develop a small gap after the sun does it's job. I've not...
I actually don't have any edging, I cut everything to shape by hand with a super sharp razor blade. Did the final trim after it was stuck to the boat.
it's been on all summer in the blazing Maryland heat (not so much this year) and I have to say it's still looking great. I saw the Sea Deck...
Nabbs creek marina. In my mind it's still a boating accident (I have the right to be wrong) he was on a boat in the water. I wouldn't sit in my car drunk and nor would I sit in a boat drunk. Truth be told I don't like to drink so I guess my views may not be mainstream.
Went down to the dock to load up the boat. Apparently a guy one dock over fell in the water last night and never got out. His body was found floating under a swim platform of a boat directly behind ours. Absolutely tragic!
Question for you all. I was just down at the boat running a system test and the port ignition system would not respond. I triple checked all the switches and breakers. no beep no crank and definitely in neutral. finally lifted the panel and found 3 of the 4 wires completely disconnected. I...
I had the exact same thing with my generator sea water pump - seal failed and rusted up the first bearing - pressed in some new bearings and replaced the seals for an easy fix.
