    Advice

We’re not talking about a 40 foot Searay. OP said his budget is 10K-30K, so your comments are out of scope. Every transaction is negotiable. People should decide what works best for them. For a $100K+ craft, the deposit would go into escrow backed up by a contract outlining terms of...

    Advice

im boatless because it hasn’t been a good time to buy, for quite some time. Boat sellers are trying to hit the lottery, and many are succeeding. But With $8 a gallon a gas on the horizon and uncertainty in the financial markets and Russia, I suspect things should get much better for buyers...

its your prerogative to do whatever you like, when conducting a sale. It’s my prerogative not to buy from you.

don’t put a deposit down until after the sea trial. Be patient and deliberate in your search. It’s very easy to give up your money. Much more difficult to get it back.

    Advice

you did the right thing. Never buy a boat without a sea trial and survey. As others posted, issues may crop up during the sea trial that might not otherwise be apparent.

    2022 SPX 190?

I would strongly suggest renting a boat of similar size to make sure that it will provide what you want. I was considering the same, but after renting I found it was too small for my taste, however it might fit what you want.

    Water System / toilet questions

Say if you have to take a trip from NJ to Florida and had Vacuflush. Would you have to visit a marina en route in order to pump out the waste, and fill up the fresh water tank?

    Hopefully Price Bubble is coming

No. When credit tightens, it becomes less available, so fewer people will be able to buy boats. This will reduce demand, and subsequently inflation.

    2008 Sundancer 340 vs 350

For my untrained eye, I would definitely go for the 350. More features, 1/2 the hours, only 8K more. Asking price seems fair to me, But I would offer 145K if I was happy with what I saw. I would try to find out why the 350 has so few hours, because 250 hrs sounds suspicious. Too good to be...

What’s the right way to head into a Wave?

Just the type of response I was hoping for! Thank You! I will check out the other threads and videos. I'm planning to boat Barneget Bay in NJ, slipping out into the Ocean once in a while, in a 30ish footer. Looking at Sundancer 310 and 340's. here’s the Boynton Inlet vídeo in case anyone...

What’s the right way to head into a Wave?

Hoping not to face this anytime soon. But what’s the right way to navigate waves? Just Bow first and hope for the best?
